Shushwap!!!!!

The time finally arrived for our first visit to the Shushwap…we headed out on the 16th for a one week visit on he north side of the Shushwap, outside a small community called Celista,,, the trip was about a 6.5 hr drive….. we arrived n a Sunday and decided to leave early on Friday, even though we had the place booked til Sunday morning… we rented a loft (like Fonz on Happy Days) that belonged to the pple next door…. We BBQ basically everyday for meals….. Deb and Connor finally learned how to play tennis, which we did every night… the courts were just across da street… the lake was just down the block, so we swam everyday almost, and sat on da beach… the temp was hot, peaking at 37 on Thurs…the deck would have been nice, if it wasn’t for the wasps… neverthless, we still enjoyed the quiet cool night out there… we would go into town to pick up stuff in Scotch Creek, visited a couple of wineries (Recline Ridge and Granite Hill)… we picked up about 6 bottles of wine….. we also visited near by towns Kamloops and Chase…. The place we stayed at??... quiet, isolated, peaceful….

Downside??? No internet, tv, or phone… that was strange and weird.. but I survived….I did start and petty much finished da first season of Lost on DVD… now onto season 2…. And yes, I found a spider crawling on me while I was sleeping…nights after that were never da same…its good to be home in your own bed, you know???

Softball was rained out when we were gone… thus, last week, I was back for our final two reg games… it was our two best games of da season on both ends…. A thrashing of 25-9 of da Kruzers and 31-9 pounding of the Ringers…Won hit his first HR vs the Ringers, and I hit two inside the park HR, one vs each team….. great showing boys!!!... playoffs was suppose to be this past Monday, but the schedulers doubled booked the fields, so we were moved to Wed.. than those fields were not available…. What a fiasco.. we will try gain this Tues!!!...good job on finishing the season above 500…15-14-1..

This week, was the release of the ATB growth Notes… talk about the insanity!!!... 776 recd on Tues, about 180 on Wed….. another 170 Thurs, and another 170 on Friday….. we pretty much finished Tues stuff on Thurs, and barely caught up yesterday… poor recon…how you going to balance the GIC box???.....

Happy bday to Lise and Kathy…. We had a nice Roast Beef dinner for Kathy’s bay.. the beef was so soft and succulent…hahahah…. Also got a chance to meet Chris for da first time… thumbs up on the first impressions!!!...

Just got back from buying new Bauer Vapour skates for $170… also got new shin guards….. bring on hockey season!!!!
