First Cooked Meal

The first meal that Deb cooked for my bros and I was a huge success..... Sat night, she made us a cauliflower casserole, stuff potatoes, and beef stragone or something to that nature, with cheesecake for dessert..... yummy yummy yummy... I guess its true.... to get to a man's heart, you go thru their stomachs...hahahah./.. this was also my first encounter with King's new friend..... very nice and pleasant person, I must say.... quiet, but that could have been because she couldn't get a word in otherwise, or enjoyed the entertainment put on by my bro's verbal assault on Deb, and her counter attacks back at them... very funny to watch.... you both were very quick thinking and entertaining....

It was good to see my buddies, Kimmie and Markie again.... we surely enjoyed the nice time we had at Dim Sum with you guys on Sunday..... INDEED!!!.....

Monday was semi finals time for our men's softball team.... it was a battle with The Usual Suspects, but we were able to finally dispose of them in three games Monday night..... we won the first game 12-4, but got rocked the second game 16-5, before winning the deciding game 22-9... you can only imagine how sore I was the next day..... neck, back, you name it!!!.... but couldn't heal, as we had the finals the next day, on Tuesday, with the whining, classless, arrogant team, called The Extremes.... anyways, after being smoked the first two games 22--9 and 35-13, we were ready to pack it in and go home..... little did we realize til the ump told us, it was best of five.. what???... more???.... I already had two throbbing legs and a dead arm....... but, we marched on.... to help, I pitched the last three innings in the last game... they practically jumped out to a 20-3 lead before we were able to cut the deficit to 24-22 going in to the final inning, before we succumb 32-22..... at least I can say I am proud of my team, our achievement, and how we handle ourselves... I can say very little about our opponents.... classless to the C.... enuf said!! Congrats to the DIRTBAGS!!

Get together with friends!!

Hockey is back!!... My Friday (the 12th) night hockey started again after a two month's absense.... and it felt great..my loated feeling disappeared for a bit...I was the first off the ice, since my feet were throbbing and my back was hurting..... I tried out my new hockey stick that I bought over the summer.... it didnt feel very good... it was too long... felt very clumsy with the longer stick.. (no jokes pls)...hahah.. must get it cut.... however, I did score two goals... good way to start the new hockey year... Friday was also my flex day for the month at work... Deb and I went to Dim Sum for lunch, than headed out to Market Mall to do some shopping for a dress pant.. mission accomplished...

Sat, I headed out with da mother to do some car stuff at the dealership... what does this mean?? stay tuned!!!!.... after that, i headed over to Laney's place for a bbq.. very nice time had indeed... little worried for Deb, but she enjoyed herself also... i think it was cause Tracy and Doug were such a nice couple to meet and to chat with.... Joe( dont think much of him) was also there with his niece, along with Kat and Jim... so much meat, so good, so full... we stayed til about 11:30pm.. thanks for everything Laney, it was top notched hospitality...

Sun, pretty much lounged around da house all day after watching Indy squeak out da game vs the Vikes 19-15, after getting shoutout the first half... whats wrong Manning??? what happen to those high scoring games I use to luv watching??...hahahah

Monday, met up with Ro for some sushi action at Shakiji and than BBT across da street... good as always to see ya.. thanks for buying, my late day bday supper...heheheh.... Wed, Nhan and Mon and I met up for some sushi action at Sakana... good to see ya both, thanks for Mon for paying.... doesnt it feel good to hang again??.... fri, went for drinks with Wingnut after work at Milestone... wasnt it funny we were talking about Pat Muir, and we see her there?? what was she doing drinkig alone?? and was she really intending to join us?? how about you making us ditch her?..hhahahha...fun times!! Deb had a good night out with da girls, aka Vicious Circle, aka Sex and the City Girls....

Tuesday was our softball quarters.... we finished third, even though we were tied with the second place team in wins and one less loss.... oh well... our bats went quiet the first fame and were were lucky enough to win 9-5 over the Diamond Dogs, even though we should have crushed them... I batted 6th for some reason, and went 1for 3, leaving a bases loaded at one at bat....pathetic, I know!!!.... Second game, we came alive the last three innings and crushed them 22-9 in 6 innnings... Nice!!.. they moved me to third in the order, and I responded with one of my best game offensively, going 4 for 4 with two inside da parkers.... speed baby!!.. only downside was my two dropped balls, which lost my confidence... hate playing under the lights.... moved myself from left to right centre, even though all the action was in left... I dont think our RF touched the ball once both games... how boring for him... off to the semis vs the Usual Suspects....

Cory's Wild Stag!!!

well, it was C-Thom's stag on Sat.......

so Fri nite, decided to hang out at home, and maybe get an early bed time since I had to get up the next morning at 4:30AM... you think I would goto bed early???... I get home, and decided to nap from 4:30pm to 7:00pm..... I get up, watch some tv, have some dinner, and decide to play on the comp all night..... apparently I am addicted to the "RETRO GAMES" app on Facebook... than here is this new "line game" that someone sent me to play.... cant stop playing that... before you know it, its 2am.....

so I get up at 4:30am, for a pickup time at 5:15am.... ride doesn't arrive til 5:30am.... we drive outside of the city to the Esso station just outside Calaway Park to meet up with the other three cars... there is 11 of us heading to Golden for the stag's initial plan of white water rafting and Zipline..... we leave town at 6:30am, arrive in Golden at 8:30am, even though we aren't suppose to be here til 9:30am.... shivering outside while socializing (should have worn a hoodie instead of a light sports sweater).... also, if I didn't run back in to my pace last sec to throw a pair of short into my bag, I prob wouldn't have anything to wear as a bathing suit.... didn't realize we were suppose to bring a pair (makes sense to wear one, but it doesn't click into my brain).... than we put on the stuff they provide us, wet suit, fleece, water resistant coat, water proof boots, gloves.... everything stinks, but hey, that is what you get when you wear stuff hundreds of others have worn.... down the river we go for two hours.... fun, but since the season is at its end, the water isn't as rough, and the current isn't as wild as I was prepared for..... still not a bad first time down, esp when the water was cold and it wasn't that warm... nothing like cold feet, and to have water hit your "mid-area" to give a man a rush!!!..... after we dock, we are provided a bbq lunch..... than the ones who paid for a zipline, head off to do three lines..... after seeing the lines, glad I didn't pay extra $95 for three rides down the lines....

From there, we head to Banff, check in, few drinks, head to the big hot tub in the hotel for a bit... than we head to supper, little poker, than more drinking, than head to a club, more drinking, more loud music, head back to hotel, more drinking... all of a sudden, its 3:30am, almost been up 24 hours, and pass out in bed.....

Sunday, get up, check out, head back into town, watch NFL games that on tv, watch the Colts lose Sunday night, to eliminate me from my work football survivor/last man standing after only one week after I selected Colts as my guarantee team to win.... therefore, didn't advance to next week's play....grrrgghhhhhhh...

and that is my weekend.........

Monday, half the team was away, so we had five subs ont he team for softball... no matter...we get crushed in the first game 16-5 by the Salooners, but win the second game by default again against the Diamond Dogs....

Labour Day Weekend!!!

Labour Day Long weekend...... what is labour day to us Albertans than the Labour Day classic football game on Monday... but I will get to that shortly.... Lets get to the beginning of the weekend....

Last Friday, Deb and I headed down to Salt and Pepper in Bowness, on the recommendation of Anne B, to try some Mexican fud.... the food was ok, but the service was horrible... I don't remember ever leaving without tipping the waiter..... yikes.!!!!

Sat, I went to the Highland Games at Shouldice park to listen to some Scottish music, bagpipes, and to tour the many booths and watch the many different events... the weather pretty much held on and quite enjoyed my culture experience... we wanted to go to the one in Canmore, but the weather called for low temp and possible snow... no thanks..... that night, we headed over to Mel's place for some BBQ action..... we were also invited to Kat's place, but it was too far away, and with pple I didn't really know.... hope Kat and Laney had fun interacting with each other, if they even did...ahhaahh.. Mel, your place looks so much better than when I first visited... very nice!!!
Sunday, just did some housework b4 Deb experienced her first supper with da mother, and my bros..... good times, good times indeed... another hug???.... ahahahh .. want another???
Monday, like I said, went to a tailgate party at Vipers stadium, hosted by ATB... tailgate and game tixs for $35.... after that, Rob, his buddy, Anne B, Heather, Krista, and their three significant headed to the game... also saw Brian and Jen there..... Esk romped the Stamps... not so much fun for Deb, but inside, I was having a good time.... never fear folks, I was wearing my Riders shirt underneath all my clothing... close to my hear, sort of speak..... that night, had dinner over at the Mact's with the whole gang and AC and Murray... prime rib and mash potatoes... so full, and so edible....... so good.....
Tues, played two of the rainout games in softball..well, one, and one win by default... the first game was tied going into the bottom of 7th with me leading off..... suffice to say, I scored and we won..... nice!!!!...
Wed.. our last playoff game for our co-rec league... battle for 5th..... we lost by about 10 or so to Dwight's team... oh well..... nothing like being in the outfield and trying to throw the ball in and everyone looking the other way and ducking... what about Jordan tripping twice and just walking off the field after tripping towards first??.... how long can I last?? how much more can I put up with?? how much???
Thurs, BBQ burgers at Deb's... soooo di-li-cious... must not keep eating...hahahahah.....this must stop..... oh well.....
