The heat continues!!!!! Good luck, Shan!!!

Wow, its been like 6 weeks or so of around 25-30 degrees C of weather... does anyone remember it being this hot ever in Calgary??..... Since I moved here, I never seen a summer liek this.... I dont mind it...we usually only get this kind of weather, 2-3 weeks in a year..... luckily for me, I can sleep thru the heat, unlike a lot of other pple....

Congrats to Shan on her new job..... I am sure you will enjoy it more than you did at ATB.... it certainly was a great time at Amersterdam after work for drinks on Fri.... excpet for the ehat while sitting outside, it was nice... Had to use my washroom breaks to "wipe down"...hahahaha..... yes, good ol' summer.... we were there til about 9:30pm.... by that time, everyone left except Playa, Shan, and I... than, PLaya's friends showed up, and I headed home to get ready to play poker at midnight... ost $30... sucks!!! good turnout for drinks.... hey??.. Shan, Playa, Annie, Laurel, Riza, Viet, Michael, Jenn, Jenn, Laura, Kalua, Julian and his four friends, C-Thom.... good times!!

Sat, my poker was cancelled by Curt, so I just hung at home all day.....
Sun, went for some Timmy action (18.1) with WQ... good times, good times!!!



On Thurs, went to lunch with Kalua, Nat, and Wingnut... went to La PAchanga for the first time.... good was good, but everything was so pricey....... that night, went to drinks with Kat..... nice conversation to catch up on things at The Crush.....

Ok.... bring on the heat for another week!!!!!

Holidays- Vancouver, Grandma, Kalua

This past week, I was on vacation from work. With that, my bros and I headed out to Vacouver to visit Jack and Aim... We left Monday and came back Thurs night, cutting the trip a day short.... We heard about Grandma's passing on our way out to Vancouver... since the funeral was on Sat, we decided to continue onto Vancouver for a few days.... upon arriving on Monday night, we headed to the Golden Phoenix off of Broadway for some chinese food... Tues, we went for Dim Sum at the Pelican off of Hastings and than for supper, we went for all you can eat sushi at Ebi off of Granville and about 41st St... Wed, viet for supper and than ate Churches (fried chicken) at Aim's for supper... everyday, we had BBT, and for the weather, it basically was cool and rainy while we were there.... at night, we played either MJ or poker.... that was our trip

Friday morning, after dropping the bakery stuff at work for AP and Neriss, my bros and I headed out to Regina to stay with Peg.... after getting up at 5am Sat morn, we headed to Saskatoon to be at my uncle's place by 9am, and to meet up with the rest of the family.... we headed to the funeral home, than the cemetery, and than to the temple... we were done around 12:30pm, headed to Timmy's for lunch, and than back to uncle's place.... after a short rest, we headed to the Mandarin Rest for supper, for 80 pple, at 5pm... got stuck at the vegetarian table, but was able to slip to another table for some meat dishes later on.... after 7 courses, we were out on the road by 7pm... we got home at about 12:30am, and man, was I ever TIRREDDDD!!!!!... funny how only tragedy can get all our family together in one place, even though we discuss getting together once every year!!! last time we were all together was for grandpa's funeral, seven years ago..... only ones missing this time was Anton and Jason.... last time, everyone made it.... oh well.. we even plan on gettting together next Aug for a family cruise along California... will it happen?? I would guess......no!!!.... Grandma....RIP!!!! God be with you!!!

Go Carting and Wedding

Back on the path of glory I went, as I raced down the pathway in the Grand Prix... ok, actually, I just went around a course, in a go-cart... close enough?? After work, Friday, my "buddy" and I went go-carting... something, I havent done in ages... it was fun...very fun.... I was a little hesitant at first, but let it all out near the end... too bad my "buddy" had to speed away from me right from the start... it would have been nice to race ya... i think you were scared of losing to me..... again!!!!....next time????.... sucks that you got hurt too.... glad you told them off and got a refund on it all... shows how you take "*hit from noone", while I am a little mouse...hahahah.. thanks again for that and for supper(17)....

On Saturday, Wingnut was nice enuf to ask me to accompany her to Sheila's and Wayne's wedding.... there were only 8 tables and 8 pple per table, so it was a real small and intimate wedding.... the only ATB pple there were Carla, Meghan and Sherry.... we all sat together... food was good.... Roast Beef, potatoes and veggies... the ceremony was quick at the community centre in Varsity... after that, few drinks at the open bar and were were eating.... man, was it ever hot and stuffy... not only was it plus 30 out, but us being in our dress shirts, yikes!!!.... funny to see us all there sweating, with our red faces.... oh well... still good times!!! Sorry to Mylenne for not making it to your supper gathering... lobster and all that food sounded real nice... you know I hate to pass up on those things... oh well, next time....

Sunday.... just vegged and packed for my trip to Vancouver tomorrow (Monday)... cant wait to see Lizard!!!!.. oh yeah, you too Aim, Jack and Alfred...hahaha..

To my friend, hang in there.... I dont know what you are going through, since I am not in your shoe... we all go through rough patches in life...some, more than others... lot of times, we found ourselves alone, no where to go, and nothing in the future to be seen.... with time, most of us can survivie it.... time heals all wounds... the new beginning starts from within.... allow yourself to heal and get you over the hurdles.... gain strength from your family, loved ones, and friends..... including me... use them.... start looking after number one, yourself!!!... you will be fine... I believe in you, we all do.... hang in there.... you will make it.. the future is not as bad as you think... like me, take it one day at a time... take it as it comes.... best to ya, and we are all here for you!!! You will succeed!!!

Busy week!!!

It was a busy week... As those of you who know me, I usually like to nap for a few hours after supper when I can on a weekday..... none of that this week....

Monday, went stampeding with Easy and Kalua.... it was Easy's first stampede... what took you so long??...anyways, hope you were not too bored, and enjoyed your first experience, even though you never got to go on any rides.... what can I say, I am afraid of heights, and I get motion sickness.... at least I paid for your entry fee and won you a stuffed animal... right?? who is the man at whack a mole??? Doesnt matter if I beat an old lady in a wheelchair, the point is, I WON!!!!!.....hahahah

Tues, I got a haircut and picked up my bro at the airport.... he was in LA for a wedding and decided to stay an exta week or so..... sounds like he had a blast.... guess that means I have to take care of supper and all again....hahaah... at least Crystal and I had our first chat while waiting for King's sorry arse home.... thanks for the gifts... the Terminator shot glass was nice!!!

Wed, another frustrating game of softball.... what kept my mind off my teammates pathetic, as usual, play was my inability to have a good game... two misjudged fly balls and two bad at bats kept my anger focused on myself... hopefully I wont lose my confidence playing in the outfield.....

Thurs(16), Suzie and I went out for supper at some pub in the SW..... nothing like some mini-burgers and dry ribs.... I did sneak in a half hour nap... I was exhausted...

Other notes.... cant believe how busy we were at work this week, esp Thurs and Fri... imagine me working straight up to 4:15pm on Fri??....gggeeez... thanks for taking your holidays this week, Playa!!! Cheer up Shan!!... its not worth dwelling over what the kidz did to you!!!... happy birthday this week to Lyndell for last Sat, the 7th, Kat this past Monday, and Sarah yesterday... How about Brig walking out Thurs at lunch and quitting work??.... not a surprise, snice it was coming for a while.... just surprised she even came back to work after her long layoff..... best of luck to Shirley who worked her last week with us.....

Happy Birthday, Boston!!!!

My birthday was this past week, on the fourth..... it was a very good birthday too. .. it started with being given the afternoon off from work, for Stampede, that day on the 4th.(stampede didnt officially start til Friday, but we will be short staff next week, so our dept decided to take our afternoon's off this past week)... so, I lunched it with WQ... we ended up at my place playing some Wii action... it was their first time... real fun!!!(14)..... After that, I met up with the old transfers group for my bday supper... Ann, Wingnut, Ap, and Neriss (Pat was in BC on holidays, so your excused....heheheh)....... got nice gifts from all of them... well, all except for one person.... you know who u r...thanks for NOTHING!!!..you are nothing to me....hahahaha....
Than, at about 10:15pm, Won and I watched Transformers...... best movie so far this year!!!...it was 2.5 hours, but my attention was captured from the start to the end of the movie... so it was a busy birthday.... add that to the free supper I got from friends on the 3rd and 5th, and I been eating like crazy and looking like a watermelon now...hahaha

Sally took me out on the 3rd to some greek place out in the SE side..... the food was nice real good, as I had some good ol veal..... thanks for the gifts tooo(13)...... sorry for the *rap I put you thru....heheheh....

On the 5th, Kim and Mark took me out for supper at Tony Roma's... it was nice, just to hang with you two alone.... just us three, relax, talking about anythng and everything freely..... it was real nice...... you dont get times like these much anymore with our busy scheules and all... sorry for the rough patch, let me know if you need anything to cure your.....ulcer???....hahahah...

Thanks for all the well wishes and gifts from everyone..... special shout out to all of those who remembered my bday... from the first wishes just past midnight from my buddy Rick, Peg, and two bros...... til the last wishes prior to midnight, LH Esq.... to the pre-day wishes like Shan, to the last belated bday.. you all made it special!!!

On Friday, we had our work stampede party after work, where drinks were $2 for everything..... had fun... that is, til the party ended at 9:30pm... just when we were all getting comfortbale, relax, and drinking, they kicked us out... it would have been fun to stay later, cause all the hardcore and cool pple prob would have stayed there til midnight or something... we had the party at the Glemorgan community hall, so we were all sitting outside in the nice cool air, not having to worried about cleaning up or being too noisy, or mosquitoes....... bummer..... oh well.... still a good time..... the food was ok... your standard beef on a bun... dancing was really fun... thanks to my dance partners, Shan, Riza, Rita, Deb, and Sharon...

After that, 12 of us headed to the Rusty cage, Sheila, Wayne, Annie, Playa, Easy, Wingnut, SHan, Deb, Rob, Perkie and Dwayne....... despite some of the issues we had, fun I still had.... thanks again Easy for taking the bullet and driving us crazy fools home in your car when you prob didnt want to, or should have..... Shan, Wingnut, Deb and I owe you!!!
