Happy Bday Bro!!!

Props to my homeboy for his bday this past Tues....... what did we learn???..... never play sports on your bday..... as it was the 10 year ani when won and I both sprained our ankles playing vball, requiring both of us to use crutches... so what happens???... during our late game doubleheader in softball, Won takes a ball off the noggin from a ball thrown from left centre to home plate..... who knew a per son could have such an arm.... never once hit the ground... in the air and hit won just as he touched home plate..... yowzersssss... a nice goose egg and some dizzy spells for his troubles... scary though..... if ya wondering, we did win both games.... the second game, we had a team record 21 runs in the top half of the second inning.... first game, we saw another injury as Pat and Chris collided on a fly... main thing is Pat caught the ball...hahah.... Chris was out from than on.. hope he is ok!!!.... earlier in da night, we went out for supper at Happy Hill with dad, who came in the night b4, for Won's bday..... than I drove him home back to Innisfail b4 heading to ball....
Monday, went to the new rest on 64th Ave, where the old Pizza Hut was, for supper with da boys and da mother...
Weekend??? Fri, headed to Beckhams with Deb and had a nice Steak Sandwich!!!.... Sat, saw Terminator Salvation, which was better than even I imagined.... glad they didn't go with the "supposive" alternate ending..... after that, bought some Chinese fud and brought over to Kathy's place for some supper...... Sunday, just hung out at home.....
Wed..... had supper at Kyla's and than helped them move some stuff to their new condo in Aspen Lakes community that they are renting til their house is built!!!....


I guess the big news the previous week was the Wd 6/49 draw for almost 40 million, won by 13 staff members at the HR dept of ATB in Edmonton... imagine how fast the news spread within ATB.... that next morning, all I could do was dream about the money and what I would do with it.... not like I haven't done that as million times before...hahahah... exciting, esp how close it was to us, yet, still so far..... imagine the other 5 in the dept who didn't participate... I would prob kill myself...hahahah.... how can you not just kick yourself for the rest of your life... worst yet, imagine the couple of them who sometimes participated, but decided not to, this time??... yikes!!!! the pain and agony!!!....

May Long Weekend!!!

Finale week continued last week, and this week...... with the one this past Monday for 24.... how was it?? sadly, very disappointed... did not like how they wrapped the season up in the last two hours..... the whole Tony's revenge, the way Jack developed a conscious for the life of a back guy all of a sudden, the way the president chose the duty of her office over family, the way they ended with the back guy..... just too many unsatisfied droplets left in my mouth...... season 8, you turned out real sad...... other finales??.... Simpsons episode on Ogenville was good.... Smallville was decent. but not spectacular..... ZOD!!!!!... found out Sarah Connor not renewed, but Dollhouse was....... sucked about Sarah!!! Idol, not watching... hate Adam and Chris... Survivor, JT won with Stephen second on a 7-0 vote.... meaning my Taj finished fourth.... winner, Alice and second to Burkie...congrats!!! DH?? not seen yet....

May long weekend..... Sat, the big event of the summer as I called it...hahaahah... Lee and Jonathan's wedding..... at the Round Up Centre in the Palomino room...

the positives???.... ceremony and banquet back to back, in the same building, but in two different rooms........ dinner was yummy yummy, esp the Roast Beef...so tender!!... good company, fun table..... Deb, me, Kdog, Julie, Andy and his wife, Kim's sis and her friend, and Terry and his date... Terry was a great dunk entertainment as usual..... but his poor date who he ignored the whole night...hahahah... It was fun hanging next to Kim's sis..... got to know her better..... the table behind us were funny and entertaining as well...free drinks til 9pm!!.. always a plus...slideshow with one pic showing me........

the negatives???.... the whole invitation states 4:30pm, but really 5:00pm due to Asian time, and so everyone will be there... kidding me?? make us wait in the hallway?? I got there early, so I had to stand around for 50 minutes???? ..... seeing Ann and KDog...hahahah ... no first dance?? no cutting of the cake by the bride and groom?? never came around each table for a toast..... no speeches by the maid of honour and best man...

Sunday, Dim Sum with Deb for lunch.... drinks and supper with Erin, who came down from Edmonton for a visit... always good to see you Ease!!!.... you one person, Deb and I AGREE upon...hahahah

Monday.... Star Trek with the boys and Deb.... it pains me to say it, but the movie was really, really good..... ohh the pain!!!.. after that, Deb, BBQ us T-Bones, made stuff potatoes, and baked cauliflower with melted cheese.... Di-Li-CIOUS!!!.. and to top it off, a nice peanut butter/choc dessert....

That all made it a tremendous weekend...... softball last night was frickin cold... we ended up 1 and 1.. should have been 2 and 0.. first game, we were up by one in the top of 7, two outs, when the other team hit a lazy fly to Pat at LC... what happens?? he drops it and cost us two run.. still, we should have been able to get at least a run in the bottom half, esp with me leading off.... NOPE!!!... lost 9-8... I went 2-3 with a walk, with that crucial bad swing and dribbler to the pitcher to start off the 7th... Viet hit into two DP's and Ryan went 0-4 as the number 2 man, forcing me out twice on FC's...... second game, out bats came alive... we won something like 24-20, with the other team getting 7 in the bottom of 7 to make it close... I went 3/3, with a walk, 4 runs, and a rbi to boot.... previous week, we were rained out... pretty much the whole week was rained out of miserable... only good days were Sat and Sun.. we even had snow today and Monday.... its frickin almost June!!! Since the game got rained out, I subbed for vball on Tues, going 1 and 1... Wings up 2-0 on Hawks, Pens up 1-0 on the Canes.... everything "a ok"!!!...... rematch is going to happen... I feel it!!!.. to Deb, I say....JOHNNY HO!!!!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all da mothers in the world….. for me, the date started out driving Deb, AC, Sam and another girl downtown at 8am, for them to do the Mother’s Day run….. later today, we are heding over to Kathy’s for an afternoon BBQ… after that, I will meet up with the bros and da mother for supper at Taipan……

Yesterday did some afternoon shopping….. bought myself a shirt for Lee’s wedding next weekend, a hoodie, and a shirt for work….. hate Sat afternoon shopping, but it had to be done… also went Dim Sum with the bros before that….

Last Weekend, marked the beginning of softball…. We had a pre season tourney….. we lost our first game Fri night 27-7and won our two Sat games… this put us in position to grab, and we did, a wild card spot….. so Sunday, we won our first game in three extra innings and lost the next game to be eliminated….. 5 games in three days, esp after a winter layoff proved too much for this old body….. leg, back and arm pains were felt…. I didn’t play too badly, but proved once again how much I hate night games under the light…… oh well….. not much time to recover since our season began on Tuesday….. we went one and one, losing to the Eagles in triple extra innings……

We finished booking our trip in July to Frisco…. Should be exciting….. also planning on our annual trip to Regina that same week…. Get ready for us, Peg!!!

This is also season finale time….. I have a bad feeling that we watched our last episodes of Sarah Connor and Dollhouse….. good finales too…. This week, it will be Smallville….

Guess by now, we know the Sharks choked again… oh well….. lets cheer for the Wings to defeat the Ducks and Pens over the Caps….. lets go go go!!!!!
