Vrrrrrroooommmm Vrrrrooooommmm

Vrrrrrrroooooooommmmm Vrrrrooooooommmmmmmmm…. That is all I have to say… after a few days of testing cars and negotiating, I finally picked up a new set of wheels…… what did I get???..... a brand spanky new 2008 Charcoal Grey Mazda3, which looks like a tinge of blue in the light…. Less than 20K, if you are asking… little discount since it is a 2008 make, and they want to get rid of this year’s stock for 2009….suffice to say, the only cars I test drove was the 2009 Toyota Corolla and this Mazda3… but the pple were nice at Mazda, and the price was reasonable….. thxs to Jeff and Candice for being so easy to deal with… special thxs to da mother for the whole process, esp the negotiating and d/p part… guess your stubbornness and hard head finally paid off…. The car has your basic upgrades…. Air cond, power locks, power windows, power side mirrors, Ipod adaptor, 60/40 seat, 15’ alloy wheels, tilt steering wheel, 140 HO, 4 cylinders.... hmmm… guess that is about it…I don’t know much about cars….

Special Happy bdays to some special girls, and important pple in my life.. my closest friends, Kim, Mare, and Mariessa…. You all just stay pretty and young…. To another memorable year in your life…..

Finally showed up to a Sat night shinny…. Missed the first four, three for weddings…… a few new faces, but good to see everyone again…. For the rest of da weekend, did nothing.. just chilled with Deb… so relaxing, and stress free… wurrdd!!!!....

Weekend b4 that, went to Christina’s wedding…. Ceremony at their residence, and supper at La Vienna Rest….. very small wedding, about 16????..... one of Deb’s friend, so I didn’t really know anyone, and basically kept to myself with Deb…..supper was very good….. nice pasta rest… the place was a packed house…. Will have to go there again….

Lastly, I haven’t said it yet, but congrats to new baby arrivals in Sept to Harv and Darla (Breyden), and Kyla and Ryan (Jordanna)…. Congrats!!!

Congrats to my cuz, Jack!!!!!!!

This past weekend, I took a trip to Hongcouver, to attend my cousin Jack's wedding..... YES, its true, he finally cross the line and enter the world of marriage.... in doing so, he breaks the curse that has seen the boys from da mother's side of the family all remain single, while the girls are married with kids.... thanks Jack... does this mean the pressure is off of him, and now lies in my court???...yikes!@!@@

I flew out Sat morning at 7:30am with Sam and da mother.... but not before I played hockey at midnight the night b4.... so that night, only got an hour sleep, so I was dead tired when I hit Vancouver.... but my cuz were busy til suppertime, which meant I had to hang with da mother the whole day.... fun fun.... NOT!!!.... so after we dealt with Budget on the rental car, which was delayed by half hour, we went for Dim Sum at 9am at Neptune Seafood Rest.... who would have thought Dim Sum would be opened that early??... to my surprise, it opened at 8am, and yet, we still had to wait 20 mins for a table..... they had a special from 8am to 11am, $2.50/plate.... that is CHEAP!!!... and their Dim Sum is so much bigger too... after that, we hit three malls or mini malls including Amsterdam.... than at about 2pm, we went for noodles and Consume Soup at Mak's Noodle House..... after that, we checked in at the hotel, La Quinta, where da mother and Sam were staying at...... after that, I collapsed for a nap while they went out shopping.... after my nap, we met up with our cousins at Northern Dynasty for supper for 17, which included the Japanese party for 6.......

Sunday..... just hung out with the kids..had left over Dim Sum and other stuff for lunch and throughout the day........ ohh Owen, you are a cute baby..... absolutely a cutie!!!.... supper time, we all gathered at the house (which I must say, is impressive, 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms over 4700 square feet) while Alfred BBQ for us wings, lamb, short ribs, corn, etc..... good stuff, thanks again!!!

Monday (wedding day), we picked up Dim Sum at T&T and had lunch with the family, Japanese, and some friends.... than we headed to Queen Elizabeth Park for the wedding... the bad thing?? it rained all day!!!.... oh well..... it was still fine... the wedding might have been outdoors, but was held inside...... than after a few hours of relaxation, we headed to Sun Sui Wah for the banquet for 55 pple.... Jack was hilarious.... just get in there!!!.. and what is that white thing??..errr..ummm ,..ohh..its teeth!!... your smiling???... its a miracle!!!!... so after a 10 course meal, I was stuffed to the max for the third straight day.....

Tues.... more left overs for lunch and hanging with the kids...... oh yeah, Owen spewed on me, but since he is so cute, I will let it slide....... hahhaa.... that night, we headed to Tropicana for lunch b4 our flight at 9:30pm back home..... the flight was delayed 25 mins, so we landed at about 12pm!!!...

That was my trip in a nutshell... the weather was generally nice.... hoodie weather... well, except for the wedding day where it rained all day.... I felt like a blimp from all the food I digested.... you know what they say, there is no place like home!!!!... thanks to all for the hospitality, food, transportation, etc...esp Aim and Alfred!!!.. til my trip next year !!!!! Congrats again, JJJAAACCCKKKK!!!!!

Cory and Jaimi's Wedding!!!!

The day arrived... it finally arrived for CThom and Jaimi.... mark the day, Sept 26/08....we have waited for months for this wedding, havent we????.... the wedding was to take place at the Stewart Creek Golf Course in Canmore... we arrived at the Blackmount hotel around 1pm, hoping they could allow us to check in early so we could change into our formal wear... we were in luck!!!.... after changing, we headed to the ceremony.... a great ceremony it was...Jaimi was riveting in her wedding dress....Cthom??... well, what can I say?? you clean up well???...hahahaha... before heading back to the hotel, we checked the scenery of the golf course... what a beauty....absolutely breathtaking!!!!!. even I was mesmerized by the trees, mts and golf course.... I watched a foursome tee off on the first green, and it made me envy those that golfed here the day before, which I was invited too... no money, no time, had a job.... sucked!!.. Deb and I did get some nice shots with the background behind us for pics.... very nice!!!... and Deb, I CHOOSE to not bring my camera!!!...hahahah... after a few hours at the hotel, we took the arrangned shuttle bus back to the banquet..... I think there was about 120 pple or so?? nice chicken meal, few drinks, and a lot of dancing, completed what I think was the best wedding and most organized wedding of the year... job well done!!!

Next morning, b4 headn back, we stopped at Cor's hotel for a bbq lunch... a very nice touch indeed..... Deb and I like to thank Cthom and Jamimi for inviting us and allowing us to spend the special day with them....Congrats... best wishes to you two on your new journey in life together... be it with Happiness, luv, success, and health.... to Cory and Jaimi!!!
