Merry Christmas!!!

First, a special shout out to the almighty, our lord and saviour, Jesus Christ.... the reason we celebrate this festive time..... for looking out for me and the important pple around me and being my guidance....

I wish everyone out there, esp my friends and family, a Merry Christmas, a Feliz Navidad..... hope all is well with you all, and you were able to spend it with the ones that you luv, and care about... eat lots, have fun, and create more memories... be safe all.... a special shout out to ones that sent me wishes or surprise me with phone calls or messages on this day... its nice that I am remembered by some.... thanks to all who gave me gifts.....

My Christmas was spent this way... Xmas eve, my bros and I spent it at King's church, where we were fed, and had a nice service..... Xmas day was spent with our usual midnight time watching Scrooged, our yearly thing.....than, we had Dim Sum with the mother... after that, we dropped by her place for a bit, before returning home to have our supper, by chinese takeout...hahahah... Boxing day, just hung at home, relaxing.... another Xmas, another year..... Merry Christmas!!!!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico !!!!!

I am back from my vacation in Mexico!!!... One week in Puerto Vallarta..... as I was taught by the pple there, "how was Mexico???...... EXCELLENTE!!!!!!"....... It was a very fun, exciting, and interesting trip..... I guess most trips are..... the highs and lows are all here, for my first ever trip to Mexico and its area.....

Lets get the lows out of the way..... after my first day in the sun on the beach, I paid for it the next day and a bit.... I was sick as a dog the next day.... I think it was Traveller's Diarrhea... all day and night, running to the washroom.... whatever food I ate that first night there, all was out the next.... even after that, i had no appetite for a few days, and could not get food down (just like woman....hahaha)... at the same time, I burnt myself in the sun.... deservingly so, as I went without using sunscreen that day... big mistake!!!!
Another low was having noone to head back to the hotel room at nights after a nice day, unlike so many others.... so many couples, and it was all about couples and family..... ok.... leave it at that....
Oh yeah, than there was the time sharing scam......grrrgghhhh....

The high points?? the ATV tour I took which lasted a morning.... three hours of touring the city side, along the streets with other cars, along the back alleys, the wooded areas along rivers and along steep terrain and all, to the Tequila factory...... another high point?? beach vball for hours upon hours in a day, and boogie boarding with the gang in the ocean.....

Here is a summary of my days....

Sat..... got into PV at about 5:30pm local time, after a 40 minute plane delay in taking off..... yes, had to deal with a noisy kid in the next row, but whatever... going thru the airport, we almost got caught in a time sharing scam..... glad Markie picked up on it..... made me po'ed about how it went down.... not a good way to start the trip... after getting thru the airport, we met up with our host trip company, SunQuest, and was shuttle to our hotel.... after checking in, we met up with Jonathan and Lee, and headed to our first supper (remember, the whole trip is all you can eat)....congrats to Lee and Jonathan on their engagement!!!!

Sun..... after breakfast, we headed out to the beach for hours in the sun, relaxing, bumping the vball around, swimming in the ocean, and boogie boarding..... the sun wasnt that hot, so I figured to go without sunscreen.... I think what got me was getting burnt while in the ocean.... the reflection from the water burnt my upper body, front and back, and my face.... also, the salt water... what can I say...GROSS!!!! .. having that even touching my lips was disgusting and nausinating..the taste was even worse.....now I understand why pple cant survive int he ocean, even if they are good swimmers... once that salt hits you, its over!!!!. after supper, we went to our nightly entertainment, which began at 9pm.... we went to see the stage show every night.... after that, we headed to the local disco.... we were not there that long... the lights made us dizzy, and the place stunk.... that night, is when my issues with my stomach began... it was a longgg night....

Mon..... with a burnt and sick body in tow, we woke up and did our ATV tour in the morning.... I was nervous to start... never been on an ATV before.... than, I had to be the second ATV in line out of five.... but after getting going, the fun began..... who could forget all the manure we went over, or all the cows along the path, or the two flats that Lee and Jon got??...hahahha.... we did end up at the tequila factory, where after sampling the tequila, my sickness hit again.... prior to that, I think my adrenaline push my sickness aside temporarily.... after getting back, I spent the rest of the day in my hotel room, while the others hit the beach..... I did join the gang later for supper, the stage show, and some Ahole card action.....

Tues.... we had our final lunch together as a group before seeing Lee and Jon off.... than, Kim, Mark, and I headed to the beach for a few hours..... still could not eat much at supper, but I did eat a little...the stage show again, and than we played crazy 8's til bedtime.....

Wed.....I started my regular routine of putting on sunscreen every morning after my shower...... we went on a City Tour all day..... the city was old, but it was nice to see what the city looks like.... the bus ride was a little nauseaous.... it was a longggggggggg day.... we hit the city centre, saw some shops, stopped at a church, stop along some local tourist sites, and hit another Tequila factory.... supper and stage show and another round of crazy 8, which Kim won, and another nite ended....

Thurs and Fri was pretty much the same..... relax and sun..... the day started off with us going to the air rifle and testing our shooting skills.... congrats to Kim for winning the girl's side on Thurs.... on Thurs, i even tried horseshoe toss.... than, the rest of the afternoon for me was left to enjoying the sun, and playing beach vball four like 4-5 hours..... than it was supper, stage show, and cards.... only difference was Thurs, Mark entered a ping pong tourney and finished second, while I played on Fri and won the tournament... luckily for Mark, he didnt play me, or I would have kicked his butt....hahahahah...... another downside was Mark getting sick after Thurs supper, so he was pretty much out of commission Fri..... only difference is while mine came out below, his came up and all out..... poor Markie....

Sat... we basically did the air rifle thing, and than checked out by noon.... while our departure was not til almost 5pm, with plane leaving at 8pm, we had five hours to kill.... we just had lunch, and played cards.... mmmm.. the nachos were soooo good...... mmmmmmmmm... the plane ride was a little bumpy, and my stomach was upset so I was not well again..... the movie on the plane was good...Ratatouille..... ohhh and than their was the crying, screaming kid... makes you NOT want to have kids, hey Mark???...... overall, trip was excellent, fun, and adventurous... it was nice to even have a nice tan on my white body... now, you all cant make fun of me...at least, not in that respect...hahahahah...Will miss the ice tea and nachos.....mmmmm...so good!!!!. Adios Mexico and Senoritas!!!!

Review: Staff Xmas Work Party...

My staff Xmas party was this past Sat........ how was it?? hmmm....... what can I say?? It wa at Devinos......It definitely was NOT as good as last year (Do we remember, IT ENDS TONIGHT??)....better staff was there last year.... better atmosphere..... I agree with everyone that there wasnt much fud, but come on now, didnt we expect that???.... based on previous years?? That is why a few of us met up for a bite before hand at Milestones..... Playa, Annie, Rizz, Viet, Lynn, CThom, and Jamie... that was prob one of the better time of the night..... there was no music (thus no dancing), and yes, the drinks were pricey.... $7.50 beer??? $6.50 hi ball???...wow!!... no wonder so many left early.... in fact, by 9pm, i say half the pple were gone, with majority gone by 10.... but,it was nice that the some of us shut the place down.... Annie, Playa, Cthom, Jamie, RobG, Sharon, Shan, Rita, and myself.... that was the other hilight.... how about Shan's Platform dive???? Classic!!!... even the end of the night was nice..... no need to thank me....hahahah.. i am all about being a gentleman.... it was nice to see all of us spiffed up for a change... I dont think I looked that good in awhile... too bad no pics were taken... or maybe that was a good thing???....hahah... and no, I did NOT go into the girl's washroom..... no, I did not get plastered,...I did mingle, unlike some.....yes I amde have been rude, as per RIZZ...heheheh... yes, I did get 12 free drink tickets.. thanks to Mezei, Gibber, Tanya, and KK.... to Kathleen who screwed me out of a ticket in front of my face, yet giving one to Cor and Playa, poopies to you...hahahhah

As far as the many colleagues and all that ditched last minute or the ones that left early for various reasons.... well, what can I say???... to each their own...I keep my judgement to myself..... I never forget!!!!... to another year, and what is suppose to be one of the more memorable times for a work year....!!!...hmmmmmmm...

Milestone......100th Post!!!

Its my 100th post!!!... so, what can I talk about? Cant bore you with what has happened the last few days.... I will leave that for my weekly update... To mark this special post, I just want to say its been fun writing these blogs, and its been satisfying that I could reach this number, especially lately since the blog is all but dead, it seems..... but here is what hasnt dimished... real friends and family, and my passion for sports, woman, and food...I will leave the in-depth details to my year end blog..... .. I look forward to the next few special moments in my life..... the staff Xmas party, my trip to Mexico, and my upcoming move to my new place.... with that, I like to thank those that will share with me these special moments, and for those who have/will support me.... life is tough with all the obstacles and issues, heartbreaks and disappointments, sad and anger moments..... this a good time to do my 100th blog... I was able to speak on the phone with two of the most important pple in my life, aside from my family, who have made the biggest impact on my life the last few years.... this also marked the one year anniversary of the day/night where my life took another turn... a memorable moment..... what happened???.... sorry, that is between me and the person(s) involed.... all I have to say is, as I quote the All American Rejects,

Get togethers.... battling my first cold of the winter

Highs and lows.... that is what this week was all about...... the low being that I caught my first cold of the new season..... started Monday night with a sore throat, peaked on Friday with me leaving work early, and now I just have a bit of a stuff nose and minor cough... hopefully by Monday, it will be all gone....

Monday started well.... I got to go to Moustache Pete for some drinks and some pool.... all I have to say is I HAVE BRAGGING RIGHTS!!!...hahah... after that, headed to N.H. and had some Smirnoff and some McLuvin...hahaahha..... man,it was cold that night... I think the cold snap started that day.... maybe I caught my cold from the extreme cold weather?? maybe I caught it from my co-workers, which many seem to be sick??? maybe I caught it making out with some hot chick??? maybe I caught it from touching something infectious??.. what do you think??...hahaha..

Tuesday, who would have thought we would go in and knocked off two teams to win our vball league for the fall??? Esp against that last team, who prob should be in a higher level since they all can spike, and spike hard!!!.. how about that one guy spiking the ball right at Karen's head???.. how about us winning 15-14 in the third set?? how about us not be ready on match point, only to have it replayed and them losing the next two points?? I guess it shows you, sometimes, heart and desire outbeats talent and skills... man, we played good (for a change)... man I played awesome with my blocks and all.... how dumb can yo be to have me block you??? ggeezzz...

Wed, the boys and I found a new sushi place.... Sumo on 10th Ave by MT.... they have all you can eat sashimi too.... may be pricier, but it was worth not eating all that rice and paper thin fish....

Fri.... left work early... this gave me a chacne to go to see "THE" mother, and get that Offer to Purchase agreement signed and finish my Xmas shopping at Mkt Mall.... after that, went home to sleep to try and battle this cold.... hockey sucked, cause Mark didnt show up and we had to use a shooter tutor....

Sat..... made some Beef Stew for the Xmas party at Ann's place.... than had to head to the SW to get Laney, drive the NE to pick up AP's gifts and food since she was sick and couldnt make it, than head to the SE to Ann's place.... the whole drive took over 2hours...... geezzzzz.... at least the get together was nice.... good fud, and great co... thanks for all the gifts, folks!!... they were all nice!!!... Laney, glad you like Vintage Linden.... Neriss, got to luv that shirt, hey??..hahaah... Merry Xmas to you all...
