Series Finales..... 24, Lost.... Sharks..... good-bye!!

The end of an era…well, at least decade….. the series finales of my two fav dramas have come and gone this past week…... First, it was the 5.5 hours worth of Lost on Sunday, watched by 15 million viewers….. Deb and I headed over to my bro’s place to watch it on their big tv, since it aired at 5pm rather than 8pm on regular cable…we also stayed for supper for some salad, soup and pasta lasagna…...what can I say about the show?....? One of the best finales ever…. Really touching and entertaining and heart warming…..

Monday was 24….. although I wasn’t expecting much, it actually ended up pretty good…. Just the way it should end, with Jack on the run…..same kind of ending from season 4 or 5, which I thought should have been the series finale type ending… than, they pretty much did end it that way…. And I knew Alison would have a change of heart at the end… how can she not? It is all about making Americans look good….. Series ended with 8.9 million vewers….

My third drama, Flash Forward, never really had a chance to get off and take off… cause after one season, ABC decided not to renew this drama after one season…. So on Thurs, it ended with a decent ending…. It ended not knowing it was not getting renewed…..it ended with only 5.0 million viewers… guess they decided to renew V and not this… how sad…

Congrats to Lee Dewyze for winning American Idol, season 9…… he was the one I been rooting for since prob the final 12, since Andrew Garcia, wasn’t going to win…. Combine these four shows with Survivor, and I will have lots of tv time available next season….

Goodbye to my Sharks who lost in 4 to the Hawks… now, down to Philly and Hawks…. Richards, Carter, and Gagne…or Toews, Seabrook, and Keith??.... hated Pronger and Carcillo or Kane, Bolland, and Byfulien…… Verdict?? Lets go…..eerrr….ummm….. hmmm…. Philly!!!

Wed night, we celebrated my bro’s bday with the usual MT and prime Rib…. Thurs, met Char and Claymar at Lancaster’s food court for lunch… good to see you guys…
Softball has been a go for the past three weeks, after the opening season games were a wash… playing average, so it has been personally frustrating with my play…. As I always say, the team goes as the leadoff batter goes… and I haven’t been going yet…. Result? 0-6….. two losses by one run with last at bats…. I must be better, my team will be better…stay tuned!!!

Been a raining weekend…. We decided not to goto the Lilac festival as a result today…. Just stayed home all weekend…..we watched Pirates today…. Saw the first game on Sat of the Stanley Cup…. Fri? just played hockey….. not too evenful…
Previous weekend was Victoria Day long weekend…. Sat night, spent the day watching al three Star Wars, the classic… what a way to spend a day…. Sunday, was Lost (sorry, I missed Wingnut’s baby banquet), and Monday was 24 (see above)… previous Wed, met up with Mike and Sharon to try the Viet place on 16th ave and 2nd st NW…. Heard there might be all you can eat Pho…. All it was is pretty much hot pot….so just had reg fud…..that Thurs, I decided to goto the doc’s to check out my back… nothing major.. just a strain, which little exercise, strengthening, and stretching can cure… and lose 10-15lbs…. so trying to get rid of the junk food now and eat better….162… we will see…..the battle continues….

Finally, congrats to Trace and Dac on their wedding this weekend.... best of luck to you both!!

Friends and TV... Go Sharks!!!

I will start off by saying that the second round of the hockey playoffs is over…. Few more surprises and few more upsets….. let start by saying good ol’ Jolting Joe finally made it to the third round, by helping the Sharks beat the Wings in 6…keep it going boys… don’t think you will get past the Hawks, who won in 6 over Luongo, but must keep da faith.. the hated Habs continue their upsets ways by knocking off the Pens in 7 after beating the Caps in 7…. And how about Phillys improbable 7 game victory over Beantown after being down 0-3 in games and than 3-0 in game 7??..... come on Philly!!!

Watched Ironman2 on May 8the with Deb and the boys….It was disappointing… not enough action… too much Tony Sparks with the attitude….on the bright side, Black Widow, aka Scarlet Johannson…va va vrrrrrrooomm…. Tv season is wrapping up… two more episodes of Lost and 24…. The humanity…. Than Flash Forward is not being renewed for a second season and I am missing the fav three dramas next yr… toped that with me stopping watching Idol and Survivor next year, I will have lots of free time now…hahahah…glad to see Russell not win Survivor 20…arrogant arse…. Good ol Sandra squeaked it 6-3 over Parvati…..

Got to meet King’s girl on the 10th at Eastern Fortune with the rest of the fam….. a pleasure to meet you..nothing but good vibes from ya..plus, if you can put up with the Wong boys, you can put up with anything…sociable, pleasant, and smart….. that is what I got from ya on our first encounter…
11th, all you can eat East Indian food at Skylark for a hello to Alex, Superstar…. A get together for about 13… good food, good company, nothing more you can ask for…. Had a chance to sit with him on the 8th after midnight at ADM with Mare and Won b4 the get together… always great to see ya dude…come back soon!!!!
The trf gang got to see Wingnut’s baby on 12th at sushi place on 17th ave for lunch…. Good to see A-Ho for lunch on the 11th and 7th…went to all you can eat Thai for lunch with John and Rizzle…… all this food, I am getting sick of it…hahhaha..plus, I am at a new record for weight…time to get back into shape…….. flex day on the 14th, so got a chance to go out and buy some shorts and clothes at winners…..

Happy bday to Peg, Nha, and Char on the 12th…that I what I call a fab day!!!
