RIP MJ

Wednesday June 25th, 2009 will be forever remember as the day a pop icon passed away. I was laying in my bed watching tv, when my show got cut off for a breaking news. From there, I went to CNN, and followed the news of the subsequent death of one Michael Jackson.... so many thoughts ran thru my head..... after the initial shock weared off a bit, and after I texted a million pple about the news, I sat there and watched CNN news, Larry King, Primetime, etc, etc, etc..... I listen to interview after interview, of comments, thoughts, and opinions on what had happened, tributes, and well wishes..... This is big, only comparison to me to the death of pple like Elvis, JFK and Lady Di..... I am sure we will experience over saturation in the news and the media machine working well into OT..... media sensation, here it comes.... I personally, had many thoughts and opinions..... so much goes thru a head, but I will say this much.....

Michael was a very strange and unique man...... he was eccentric and weird... we wasn't normal..... but all that were parts of what helped him make the genius and revolution man he was..... aren't all great pple, a little off the wall????.... they cant be normal or else they will be just like you and me... his weirdness intrigued us, and made us cringe, amongst other emotions..... yet, he was always relevant.... now I am not here to debate the crazy stuff of his later years, including the molestations, his skin, the baby over the balcony, etc, etc.... for me, I will remember his music, and how that affected all of us, like no other..... a pioneer in music, he open the doors to black music being shown on MTV.... his unique and skillful dance music, his entertainment value, his stride for perfection...... his videos were creative and unbelievable... his humanitarian causes such as We are The World for Africa Relief, or his charitable causes for children, his strong messages in music were instrumental into pop culture.... we all grew up with his music, from childhood to even now... his music will last forever.... he influence so many of the great singers that we enjoy today...... Beyonce, Britney, Justin, Usher, Neyo, Kardinal, and Rihanna to name a few.....

Forever will his image, music, and life will live with us.... he truly was a revolutionary, a pioneer, a music and pop icon and legend!!!

RIP Michael Jackson... there will never be another!!

Visitor from New York

This past Sat, we got a nice visit from Jill,w ho was visiting from New York..... Cam and Chris met Deb and I at Terra's for lunch with Jill..... we had a chance to catch up, and I got a chance to meet Cam's new boy..... The Beef Shawarma was a little dry, but the drinks I had there were really good.... mango ice tea, sugar cane root beer........mmmmmmmmmm....... Jill, you look great, even while you are expecting your second child.....
The rest of the weekend was pretty quiet.... just stayed at home..... pretty uneventful....

The King of Clay is dead.... Rafi lost in the third round..... if Federer was going to finally complete his career grand slam, this is his best chance.... man, did he give us a scare going down 2 sets to Haas, before coming back to win the next three... come on "Bederer" !!!!!....

Wings up 2-0 so far on the pens... poor Sid!!.... he is getting shadowed and blanketed by Zetterberg and the rest of the Wings..... I wouldn't hate the idea of the Pens winning, so this has been a very relaxing final... but the way the Wings are playing, their system and all, I cant see them being beaten.... just shows the last organization of Detroit and their commitment to team excellence... surely, a modern day dynasty if they win.....

My thought to the family and friends of the terrible plane crash on board Air France.... over 220 lives, scary!!!
