July!!! Happy bday to me!!!! LA !!!

Happy bday to the Phenomenal One…. Me!!!!...HAHAH…. I know a lot of you out there need to take me out for bday lunches/suppers… so I say bring it!!!!

The past few weeks was highlighted by mah trip to LA for five nights… we stayed in downtown LA at the Wilshire Grand Hotel…. It was a great location, since the sub train was just across the street from the hotel….
Upon arriving on the 8th after a flight of about 2.55hrs , we headed across the street to the food court for some grub… from there, we checked out downtown LA, and the Jewellery district..Pretty much after that, we turned in for the next day activities…

Bright and early, we wanted to get to Universal Studios right when it opened at 9am….. so we took the sub train… luckily when we got on the first train, Deb realized we were on the wrong train, and we got off at the next stop before we were too far away….. the train took about 25 mins to get to Universal… from there, once we hit Universal, we were fortunate enough to run into a bus that took us up to the top of the hill to the gates…. Otherwise, we were planning on walking to the gates since we didn’t realize how far it really was…. So we hit Simpsons 3D ride, T2 3D ride, and had lunch at some Mexican rest….I know, King, I didn’t go on any REAL rides like Jurassic Park or the Mummy…. Hahahha…. In fact, we also skipped Shrek 4 and Waterworld….. the worse part was waiting in line and my back would start aching….. damn back!!.. must get it looked at and healed…. Been like a year now…hahaah… after that we checked out the shopping lane and than headed to Hollywood….. we pretty much spent the time looking at all the Stars on the blvd and checked out Mann’s Restaurant…. after that, we came back to the hotel and hit the hotel pub which offered a variety of appys for $4 and drinks for $5 for happy hour from 4-7pm…


Saturday, we decided to rent a car for the day… a nice white Nissan Versa…. A drive to Santa Monica took about 45 mins, and we walked along 3rd st and Promenade shopping district…. Lunch was absolutely delicious at some Mexican Rest owned by a contestant in a Master Chef tv show or something….. from there, it was off to the Santa Monica pier and beach….. that was followed by a drive along the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu and some other place that was driven up a hill…. Than thru Beverley Hills and Bel Air, past many nice/rich houses, and to Rodeo Drive, for a look….. After that, back to the hotel’s pub and some $4 fish and chips.…...

Sunday…….. Happy bday to Deb…… did you not have a great day or what??...hahahah…… we went back to Hollywood to see the stars that we did not see, and than looked around and shopped more… after that, a relaxing afternoon back at the hotel before a delicious pasta supper at a rest in the hotel……

Monday, back to Universal to do the Universal set tour and Simpsons ride again… than off to Hard Rock Café for lunch, and back to the hotel to end our trip’s festivities…..

The weather was warm…. Most of the time hazy, with the sun breaking thru at times….. but sunny enough the first day that my head got a little burnt….. food was awesome… scenery was great, with the “scenery” even better…hahaahh… saw Joey Buttafucco, and hoped that my trip wouldn’t end with that being the only star I see.. my wish came true, as we were leaving, we saw Donald Sutherland at the airport…. Overall, nice trip..prob wouldn’t go back since did that, done that….. 8 out of 10???..... better than San Fran, but not as good as Mexico…..

Last weekend, the only thing I did was drinks with Kim at the place next to Earls on Stephen Ave….. Deb and Connor went to watch Sorcerer’s Apprentice, but I didn’t go on Sat….. I just relaxed the rest of the weekend…. Hummer was in town last Monday, so I went to the bro’s place for supper when I got back into town on Tues….. my trip prob saved my car from hail damage on that Monday that Won and all my co-workers got….. sucks the big one!!...

My bday??.. that Sunday, Deb and the bros and I went to MT for all you can eat supper….. Tues lunch, the girls took me to Fuji Yama….. Wed, Heidi bought me lunch at Jap Village… yummy yummy.. thanks all.. for the rest of you, time!!.. I will fit you all in, don’t you fret!!...hahahah

This weekend? Sat, went to the Expo Fair in Chinatown….. nice little walk down the bridge to Chinatown….. Sunday, saw SALT…great movie… prob my fav this summer so far….Angelina at her best…. After that, hit the patio at Beckhams to enjoy the 25+ weather..nice to have a good weather weekend…..

How about softball???..... after going 1-17, we are 3-0-1 in the last four…..knocked off the 2nd place team Staggs, tied the Diamondbacks, beat the Kruzers and whiskey Jacks…. Won hit 3 HR 12 Ribbies in one night…that is production!!!

Went to buffet with the Vegas boys at Grey Eagle Casino...first time there... all you can eat sashimi... must have toasted about 39 pieces along with 6 sushi pieces, amongst the rest of the stuff.....mmm..... so full and painful...hahah

Happy bdays also to Tara B on the 5th, Lyndell on the 7th, Kat on the 8th, Beth 11th, Tanya on the 16th, Kalua on the 22nd, my little Lexi on the 23rd, Heidi Sheila and Jaimi on the 24th, and Kell on the 27th….. I am outta breath!!!
