Flames EXTINGUISHED!!!!!!!

Yes, how happy and excited I am.... not much can get me real excited... well, not much HAS got me excited lately, if you know what I mean...hahaha.... but we will leave that for now.... but in sports, I was thrilled to see the Red Wings eliminate the hated Flames.... now, I dont have to hear all the B.S. about the Flames on tv, radio, and from all my friends and colleagues.... get this out of the way, so I can enjoy the playoffs, and life in general again.... however, I wont rub salt in the wound, for all those true Flames fan when I see them in person.... even if they boasted and bragged about it in front of my face.... I know what its like to have your team lose and all, so I will say nothing, unless provoked or bothered by... I will just say it here on my blog....Naaa naaa naaa naaaa!!!.Naaaa nnaaa naa naaaa!!..HEyyy Heyyy Heyyyy, GGOODDBBBYYEEEEE.. heheheheh... Thanks Red Wings!!.. you truly were the better team in this series.... even though it took you double OT to get the job done... I am ECSTATIC!!!

Besides my 6 hours of hockey every night for the past two weeks, I have found other things to do... Friday, I headed out for some poker action and came up about $5 short... not bad... didnt win, but didnt lose too bad either.... we started around 11:30pm , and played til about 4am.... I still had a chance to sleep in til 1pm, when I got up to watch the Wings/Flames game on Sat..

After watching the Wings kill the Flames, I headed over to Ivan's house for his bday poker tourney action... unfortunately, I did not call in advance, and didnt realize it was cancelled.... at least I went to T and T and got my BBT... heheheh...

Sunday, I got up to watch the TBay game, and watch them get eliminated... than I headed over for softball practice for a few hours... came home to chat with White Queen, and then watch the Flames get eliminated... overall, pretty satisfying weekend... tomorrow, I root for the Canucks to beat the Stars in game 7, and my predictions for the first round will be 8 for 8... GO CANUCKS!!

No, not that type......hahah.... I was invited to supper on Wed by Ap and Easy after work, as they were heading to the El Divo concert.... how can I say no to two hot girls??... I wouldnt even say no to one...hahahah.. I had a nice sirloin steak dinner... Ap was nice enough to pay for the whole table.... guess that mean I owe you two dinners now??.... thanks for Supper!! Hope you girls enjoyed the concert...

Thurs, we had our year end get together after work at Brewsters from 4-6pm... I did my best to take advantage of the free alcohol... after 5 singles and a double, I was DONE!!! I was in the handicap washroom for awhile... dont know how long for.... I thought I locked the washroom, but noticed that someone was coming in... it was C-Thom and Rob checking up on me.... acting all casual, I walked out and said I was fine... I noticed I wasnt.... so I decided to head home and not watch the game with the Kidz, Shan, CThom, Jamie, and John.... Deb M was nice enough to drive me and KMac back to KMac's place, where I had my bro come meet me at... thanks again, y'all!!

Yes, I lost a bet to Wingnut.... I betted her that the Sabres would sweep the Isles... They won in five, so I lost the bet.... I owe her supper.... but, if I won?? hmmmmm.. I doubt that she would have paid up.. she would have tried to change it somehow on a technicality or something..... I know she would not have went thru with it!!! Oh well, it was still fun to play with....

Playoffs begin.....

The hockey playoffs are in full swing now..... most series are going to my liking, but you know you cant have it all.... early predictions??... Anaheim versus either Buffalo or Ottawa for the cup..... what I would like??... San Jose or Detroit to play Ottawa.... I predict the Sens to win the cup, and hope for San Jose...

It was another busy weekend for me.... Friday, I headed to the Pig and Whistle with a friend (Esq) to hang, where we met up with other interesting folks.... expensive night, but it was fun... after that, I headed to hockey.... I had not played in three weeks, so it was fun to be out there again... after that, I had planned to head to another friend's place for some poker action, but it was cancelled... just as I was heading out the door too.... oh well... at least I didnt show up and have to head back home disappointed...

Sat, I headed over to Doug's (-6) place to play some card game action with Wayne(-90), Minh(-20), Hubie(+22), and Curt (+5).... what does that mean?? means I won $90!!!!... my first big win, ever!!!!... felt good... In the first hour and half, I bought in twice already and was already down $60 before anyone else had to buy in... somehow, I managed to stay down $60 for most of the night... than, we played one last round where Hubie called dropped the bomb for $5, which meant ante was $5 and loser paid the winner $5...in those 8 rounds, I won 4, and also collected the $40 ante money in the end... of those 4 wins, we played blind twice where everyone stayed up, and I won each time, collecting $25 each hand.... the rules were, for the first one, we played blind where the winner was the best "second hand", while the other big one was blind with the winner was the one with the worst hand... I won them both... somehow, I ended up with $150 in chips in basically nine hands after being down almost $60...... I know, I talked too much about this, but hey, it was my first big win!!! THANKS HUBIE for calling this game!!!

Sunday, I headed over to the Pig and Whistle to watch the game with Esq., which the Wings won...hahaha...got to like it.... GO WINGS!!!!

The Long Weekend...

April long weekend.... Spring time.... yet, the weather is still cold.... except today... when is the warm weather going to arrive???
My first week as a trader is over.... not bad... not hard, yet still hate the feeling that i dont know what to do and when... have to rely on others in order to do my job... hate it.... guess have to give it some time...

After work on Thurs, got a chance to see AC, as we headed to Brewsters for drinks with MacT and James.... AC was down for a FAA conference, unfortuately, I didnt see any of the other FAA's this year...... we were joined at Brewsters by Ann, Rita, and Kalua.... its one of the better after work drinks in awhile.... good conversation, great company, and lots of laughters...tough to say bye.... nuf' said.... for now!!...hahah.. After that, I took the C-Train and met up with the vball gang at the university, as they were finishing their playoff games.... Headed to BP's after that and hung with K-Dog, and Julie, Kim and Mark, Lee and her man, Won, and Terry... this was my first meeting with Lee's new man... girl, he better take care of you, or he will answer to me!!...hahaha.... good luck!!

Friday, I hung out at home most of the day, but than headed out to play some poker at 11pm, and never came home til almost 4am.... lost $40...damn!!!

Sat, what do you know, I stayed home most of the day... but it was relaxing... lunch was cancelled with Peter and Cathy since we played poker so late.... Nha had to work, so we never got a chance to see a movie together... she also balied on me on Friday.... damn you, Nha....hahaha

Sun, went to Dim Sum with Ro for lunch.... good to see ya again, gal... sometimes, things dont change, do they??...hahaah

The last week.....

Its been awhile since I have been on here.... maybe its true, the blog is losing its appeal..... the fad may be fading as pple move on to Facebook.... oh well, I will try to maintin this as long as I can..... I guess all good things come to an end, right??.....

Last Thurs, I got together with the RBC Lotto group.... we headed over to Chilis on North Hill... its nice that we can get together after work as oppose to lunch.. that way, we are not rushed by our one hour limit...we can sit and relax and shoot the breeze.... I spent most of the time chatting with the pple on my end of the table, Lomes, MacT and Kalua... I finally got to meet the infamous Toni, the apple of Kalua's eyes.... its about time, considering you skipped introducing me to her when she was in the office....THANKS!!!...hahah... Ali brought out her boy, so they mostly interacted with Daze and Neriss.... must agree with MacT, Lomes and I seemed more at ease with each other this time around... very nice...

Fri, after working two hours of OT, I went over to Kat's place for a few hours... we had a nice chat... unfortunately, this day was ruined by the fact that I got a call that my grandma suffered a stroke and was on her death bed.... after many phone calls throughtout the night with my mom and cousins from Regina and Vancouver, I decided to head to Saskatoon Sunday morning and come back Sunday night... everyone else was heading to Toon town on Sat, but I had things to do, and so did my bros...

Sat, I headed to the ceremony for Mike's wedding.... after the ceremony and doing my usher duties, I headed over to help C-Thom unload into their new place that they were moving into.... nice little pad for him and Jamie.. congrats on the new place!!! After that, I picked up my date for the wedding, the exquisite and attractive young gal name, Mare!!!!!! You truly were stunning that night... it took me off guard.... you were a perfect date, except for the fact you let me get nowhere with you...hahahaahh.... the banquet was nice..I did my usher duties again, without Harv (the lazy bugger backed out...hahah)..... we sat at the back of the restaurant, at a table with Harv and Darla, Albert, Simon and Lisa, and Doug and Sibyl... man, did Harv and I have a good time "being rowdy and entertaining"... glad that Mike made a shout out to Harv and I in his speech... your off the hook for sitting us in the back...hahah... congrats again, Mike!!.. Hope you and Sharon are happy forever... after that, Mare and I headed to Annie's bday swingdig at Amersterdam Rhino where we hooked up with Annie and her friends, and PLaya, Shan, and Julian... after that, I took my date home and the nite was complete...

My mom called us Sat night, to tell us not to come out to Saskatoon... grandma was in rough shape, and did not respond well... she did not recognize us and she was paralysed.... instead of going there and back and going there and back again if something happened, my mom told us to just wait as things look bleak... I can say now that she is still with us (prayers are out), but she is having surgery soon... she will have a tube place in her stomach to help her eat, as she is paralysed on her right side and cant feed herself or chew... her right vision is gone... I was told she can comprehend a little and appears to recognize us sometimes... hopefully the surgery goes well... my prayers are to her....
