Last blog for the year....

Can you believe that another year will be over soon? Guess makes one ponder what the new year will bring and what has happened this past year..... I guess I will leave that for the next post when I send out my New Year's shout out, and the first post in the new year...!!!.....

It was another hectic week at work...... with Ap and Patsy on holidays, and the temp girl leaving for the Phillipines.... it basically left Neriss and I with two new girls in our dept.... what a gong show.... my work keeps piling up, but hey, what can you do?..... it was a relatively quiet week, as I didnt do too much after work the whole week... while most pple had the week off, I slaved away at work.... Xmas sucks!!..... I did have a chance to go with CThom, Burkie. and Nat for lunch at Brewsters on Friday...that was prob the hilight of the work week for me.... after missing a week of hockey, I played again Friday night.... I took a slapshot off the foot that hurts, even to this point... same guy hit me again with a slapper, luckily, this time, it hit my shinguard.... dont know who this guy is, but he better beware.... hit me again with a slapshot, and he will get/hear it from me.... for we all know in shinny hockey, you dont take a slap shot when there is a person in front of you...only when your path is clear to the goalie, to avoid anyone getting hurt.... this guy did not take heed, and the organizer of this hockey happened to be away this week on holidays.... as tough as I am to pain, I will not accept it again from this guy!! I took a number!!!

Sat night, went to Kim and Mark's for a pre-New Years Eve get together... had the works, turkey, ham, stuffing, etc....once again, you two prove to be great hosts....great food, great company, and enjoyable entertainment.... the year in review quiz was fun, as I finished second tied with my bro, behind Tracey, the eventual winner... congrats, Tracey!!! .......Kim and Mark, you two have treated the Wong boys so well over the years, and we will pay you back someday..maybe not totally, but we will cut into the hospitality a bit.. you two are top class in my books.... thanks again!!......

Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xmas is here.... well, what to write or say about it??... Everyone knows I hate Xmas... But should I rant about it? hmmm... I guess I will leave out the rant for this year..... just speak the facts..... a shout out to the reason why we celebrate Xmas, the birth of our lord and saviour, Jesus Christ!!... Next, to my bros, who without, I prob would not have much.... to my parents, cousins, and close friends, wish you the best this holiday season, thanks for everything!!!.....

Special thanks to all who gave me gifts this year.... hilights include my new IPOD from my bro, King.... wallets from Neriss and Princess.... books, snacks, gift baskets, and chocs from Ap and Ann, and my Oilers stuff from Alice.... special thanks to those who called or text me over the Xmas holidays... it helps during the lonely, quiet times.... Kalua, Rick, Mare, Mel, Kay, Wingnut, Ro, and Lee.....

As for my Xmas??.... pretty relaxed and quiet... Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tues??? Xmas and Boxing Day???... spent it at home...... yeah, yeah, no sympathies pls, just speaking the facts.... quiet..... quiet... quiet.... lots of sleep, played some Wii for the first time, lots of tv movies, listen to my new IPOD.......... just me and the bros..... at least they got out of the house..... hmmm..... well, at least I got some R and R.... thats it!!!!... so that was my weekend... fun hey???...... Merry Christmas to you all, nevertheless..!!!

Last day before Xmas

What will Xmas bring this year???.... well, before that, we had to end the work week....work is still as nuts as ever... its a real gong show..... It was interesting to see a bottle of Rye in my desk first thing in the morning.... after some investigated work, I thought I knew who it was from.... I thought it was from Adrienne or MacT... I found out it was from Cthom the next day.... Thanks again for the nice gift..damn Neriss, for keeping it from me... I knew you knew!!!.... Karma!!!..remember Karma!!!...hahhahaha... that night, I headed out to watch the game and drinks with Wingnut... Canucks still suck!!!.....it was a tough and boring game to watch, but I guess the company, sort of made up for it??.... well, thanks for buying anyways!!!.. house poor, my butt...heheheheh...

Friday, we got out early... 2pm..... after being ditched by some colleagues such as AHo, Tar, and Nat, I headed over to Brewsters to see who would join me for drinks..... Only pple to heed my call were Shan and Kalua..... thanks for joining me girls... it was fun drinkin with you girls........ its tough to be alone at times like these.... after that, I hung with a friend, and had a very fun and memorable time at the pad... always...... "first"!! I later went to stop by to see Jill before she headed over to NYC to start her new life... Unfortunately, we could not hook up and all.... best of luck to you and your hubby in your new life in NYC... stay in touch!!!!

Camera found!!!

It was a little scary for a bit, but the camera that I thought I lost on the day of the get together, turned up.... apparently, it fell into the cracks of the sofa, or near it at Ap's place... thanks again for finding it and returning it.... thanks to all who searched everywhere for it..... keep an eye out for the pics that I took, if you want to see it.......

Congrats to the Survivor winner...Yul... it was good to see him win and Ozzy come in second, on a 5 to 4 vote.... its nice to see an Asian win a reality show....

I did not participate in the office gift exchange thingy, but I was there to watch it unfold... it looked fun, and maybe I should have participated.... oh well..... the funniest part was seeing Celina open her gift, to find a plunger as her gift... absolutely hilarious, and everyone else was laughing so hard.... I guess the real gift was under the plunger, a $10 gift cert for Chianti... nevertheless, it was hilarious to see the initial reaction..... kudos to whoever's gift it was.... (I know who it was)...hahaahah

Xmas nears... (we will leave it at that)

Xmas comes near........ how do I feel about this day??..... I will leave it at that for another day.... thank goodness the RESP prep is done for me... it used up a lot of my time, so I fell behind on my daily work.. I am still in catch up mode.... I got a lot done on Monday, as I was able to work til past 9pm doing OT.... by the end of the night, I swore I saw a bunny run by me, as I chased it around the office... I never caught it though...

Finale of Survivor is tonight...cant wait!!! I am hoping for Yul or Ozzy... poor Parvati... why you?? you were eye candy, and now I cant watch you in admiration on the finale.... you kind of remind me of someone else.....we will leave it at that....

To my "friend" who I was able to have closure with, and more inportantly, keep as a friend, I am glad you dont hold things against me, and are able to really have a good sense of humuor and a great understanding..... funny how things work, but you know I mean no harm...... more importantly, you are able to be good natured about the whole thing, and we can laugh about it now.... we will leave it at that!!!....

Friday was Corrina's last day... I headed to Brewsters for a drink and was surprise to see only 5 colleagues there, Alice, Sherry, and two projects ppls.... should I really be surprise??...hmmmmm... lets leave it at that.......

Sat, we headed to Ap's place for our yearly thing.... althought I was over an hour late, we still had alots of fun there.... to the three who missed it, too bad.... it would have been fun..you could have tasted my Curry Beef Briskets... it was so good, surprisingly...... to the other four, was it not funny to see the reactions of gifts?? how can two pple get the same gift from two pple?? what are the chances??.... I get two wallets from Princess and Sexyluv.... than Ap gets a choc fundue set from SexyLuv and Ann... guess we dont talk to one another, do we??..hehehe... Thanks to Princess for waiting in line for my bro's game..... although I know you were upset, you never held it against me... I am also glad you like your gift..... you deserve it, and dont have any guilts for it.. I dont!!.... for SexyLuv, your reaction to your gift is priceless... I will always remember it... glad you liked it, and I am guessing it can come in handy on your next "west coast swing", BC, Oregon, Kali..... its all about the scenery, sights, and stopovers!!!!.....if you know what I mean!!..... .hahahahah... hilights of the get together..... food, Il Divo, Mr Big, same gifts, choc, nice wrapped gifts, wine, jersey, lateness, corkscrew, the book, jokes, my terms, good sense of humuor........ til next year!!!.....

Hangin' w/ Kim and Lee.... take advantage of my friendship..

I hung out with Kim( my best friend) and Lee (another one of my closest friends) today. It been awhile, but it felt like the ol' days, when I first moved to Calgary.... back than, we were all single and just hanging out.... no strings attached, having a good time.... I missed those days, but with time, you have to move on and adapt to the changes all around us..... still it was very good to hang with you girls again, even though it was a little nostalgic..... we went for Dim Sum at Grand Central..... conversatins were so relax and free, I felt so at ease talking to you girls.... I will remember what I was thinking and feeling when your three "friends" came over to our table and talked to you girls.... I didnt know hat to do, so I just kept eating, while you two talked to them... it must have looked so funny...... do I stop eating and listen to the conversation??? do I pretend to be interested in these pple??... Nope, I kept eating!!...hahaha.. man, we ate tons... I havent ate so much Dim Sum in awhile.... to work it off, we went for a walk all the way to your ol stomping grounds at Crescent Heights..... must bring back the memories..... its so true, the "what if" question..... what if we were not introduced by Dan.... what if you guys never became friends in school... what if this, what if that... where would our life be right now??... whatever!!... glad my path took us where we three are still friends.... Kim, see how good it is without Markie?? he should go away more often...hahaha... only kiddin!!!

Yeah, I had bubbleatea twice today..... I also dropped off a Xmas gift and headed over to Harv's house at night to watch hockey.... dude, your girl is cute kid.... either your not the father, or the looks are from Darla's side!!...hahaha... hockey was good on both Fri and Sat night... I went extra hard..... on a side note, I have a friend who is having problems with their "partner"... wish you the best, and hang in there..... do what is right for yourself... dont take so much B.S.... as with any good friend of mine, I will be there for you... just give me a ring..... You friends of mine out there know how I am, and I am there for any of you in time of need..I think my record speaks for itself.. that is what happens when you are single, you have more time on your hand... so take advantage of it before I find someone (if I find someone....)....hahahahah..

Crazy week..... No regrets....

Its been a crazy week at work, as I fell behind more and more each day..... by the end of the week, I think I was backlogged about 70 transfers...... going to have to go hard at it soon to finish the transfers, and maybe work some OT...the cross training and helping with the conversion desk, couple with all the RESP meetings, have really taken its toll...... and I got a chance to unwind a little on Tues, Turs, and Friday nights..... well, not the part where my bro made me leave work early to take him to the doctor's... fortunately, everything turned out ok... us Wong boys are tough, you know...
Tues nite, got to hang out with Kay and her friend for drinks... man, we have had some good talks lately, and Tues night was no different..... you are so informative, and you really helped in answering all my questions,and taking our abuse.....hhehehehe..... thanks again..... I owe you big!!!....
Thurs night, Lee asked me and my bro to sub in for her vball final game for first place at the U of C.... Man, I havent played vball in like 3 years.... I guess it was funny see me flop all over the court.... and yes, I was hurting during and after the game.. I am still hrting today....... I am getting old.... still, I abuse my body for sports...hahaha.... I am glad we won, and helped you guys win it all..... nice to meet Andy.... Thanks again for the munchies afterwards, Lee.. good to Kdog and Kim again......
Friday night, was Val's last day, so we went out for drinks at Brewsters..the funny thing was to see Annie dancing and Sandy capturing it on her phone cam.... you definitely will have to send me that, Sandy!!!...Best of luck to you Val!!!.........after that, Princess, Easy, and I went to watch both the Oil and Canucks play... it was good to see them both win.... which reminds me, seeing Val leave only furthers my thoughts about having "no regrets"....

Sure, its always impossible not to have "no regrets"... the key is to keep them to a minimum, and keep the big ones from happening... we all have them.... I know I have regrets with things that have happened in the past.... be it in school, sports, career wise, finanacially, or esp with girls..... every ones in awhile, they pop into your head, and they are a real nuisance.... many have lasted for years and years, some stay with you always..... so my advice to you out there, try not to have regrets.... life is about chances and opportunities.... the pain can be real, the unknown can be downright scare, but the rewards can be tremendous, and worth it all......... always remember to take chances....life is too short for "regrets" to bother you and control you..... keep your head up..... as the saying goes, tomorrow is another day.... so live it!!!!....

Staff Xmas Party...Fri Dec 1/06

The night had arrived. Our work staff party was being held at Ceili's this year. The night started with a few of heading to Brewsters for supper after work since the party did not start til 7pm.... we wanted to goto Moxie's but it was booked. Brewsters was booked for other Xmas parties, but since we got there early enough, we could stay til those parties started.... so I headed there with Ann, Jackie, Anson, Easy, Nat, Kathy E, & Val.... Sandy had transporation problems so she didnt make it back for supper.... I tried my first "muff dive" with AHo, while Easy had a BJ and Nat had a CW.... after that we headed to Ceili's.. our supper party was the first to arrive to Ceili's... after double digits amount of drinks ( I dont remember how many I had, its all a little hazy...heehe...) based off of 6 free drink tickets, we left Ceili's around 1:30am.... some of the hilights of the night including Manio knocking over the coat rack, couple of unwanted advances, my dances on the dance floor, free drinks bought, free drinks given, free smokes, finger foods that I never had a chance to touch, interaction and socializing with co-workers, meeting FA's, meeting new pple, is she really a lesbian? is he really gay? no DQ, meeting someone I did not recognize who said he worked with me at Wal-mart in 95' , meeting a friend of a friend who I had not seen in years, consoling co-workers, associates trying to play wing-man, and associates that did not attend.... we had a little bit of everything..... after Ceili's, Burkie suggested we head to Morgan's and join Manio, Shan, Annie, and her roomate..... as we grabbed cabs, Burkie, Ann, and Sandy decided to head home, so Easy, Princess and I searched for a cab of our own to go home in..... after dropping off Princess and Easy, I made it back home at about 3am.... and that was pretty much a wrap on the night festivities in a nutshell.... more details will be givent o a select few, if asked....heheheh ...
