Cancellations and Sports...

As I sit here today, all stiff and sore from my hectic last two days of sports, I wonder how this past week went. Cant beleive we are almost nearing Nov, and another year will have passed me by....makes one ponder... but, I guess I will leave that til year's end....hahah

My sprained index finger still hurts... as I keep playing volleyball, I dont give it a chance to heal... I just keep re-aggravating it every week..... again and again... Tues was no different... at least we won both our matches against easy teams... but, my finger still got tweaked.....
Wed, got my passport pics done at London Drugs... can you believe I had to do it three times???... first time, I had a "glow" on my forehead... the lady gave me a pad to wipe down with.... hahaha... doesnt that suck??... the second time, the flash didt work properly...... geeezzz... third time was the charm!!!.....finally....
Thurs, headed over to AC's place... finally got to meet "Devil Boy"... hahah... what a handful he is.. Mylenne, Kathy M, Deb M, AC and I celebrated Jamow's bday there..... my contribution to the cause?? Two bottles of wine.. hey, at least I didnt have to cook !!!
Fri was my monthly flex day... I pretty much decided to take that time to renew my passport, since I was unable to meet up with Suzie, as hoped....... it only took me an hour.... as I stood in Chinatown, I made a bunch of calls to see if anyone would join me for lunch... no takers!!.... that sucked... so, I just headed home and vegged out in my bed, watching tv.... life of a single man.....hmmmmm..... from there, I just vegged til hockey that night....
Sat, was my vball tourney for the day... we won our first two matches, but than lost our third one finishing 5th out of 10...... from there, we lost the final two playoff games..... five matches in one day?... how old I am, as my body began to ache... but before it could hit, I went to hockey that night...Sorry to the team on bailing ot on Ceili's for the post tourney stuff..... two sports in one day, just like the old days...well, except for the aches and pains...hahahah...
Must apologize Ivan, on bailing out of your son's bday.... too sore, and its prob better since its all kids and family there... but thanks for the invite!!!
Today, I just sit here, healing... that and cursing Brady, the person I prob hate more than anyone on this earth.... damn loser!!!..... sometimes, i just hate sports!!!...... unfortunately, I dont have anything else to focus my life one.... for now...

Drinks, Drinks, and more Drinks!!!

Damn!!!... So many bdays. too many drinks, too little time!!! Seems like there was an endless bday list this week.... So, Happy bday to you all, Mariessa, Playa, Geo, Kristina, James, and Michael!! Of course, tomorrow, bday to one of my closest friends, Kim..... yes, I booked that trip to PV Mexico.. Kim, Mark and Lee, you are stuck with me... yeah!!!...now, got to renew my passport...damn, I knew it expired!!!!....too all you who turned us down to come with us (prob about 20 of you, you suck!!)...hahahaha

What is it with pple wanting to trash talk me during rec vball??... geez... its not like I killed the ball, hit it at a girl, or complained when mr loser spiked it at me..... "payback is a bitch", "that is what happens one on one"??.... dude, lets hope i dont see your ugly mugg again.... thanks for Shan for not telling me til AFTER the game when I got home... you know me too well, I would have lost it on the court....hahahah... glad we won both our matches, esp against loser's team!!!

Sorry I couldnt make it to drinks on Wed, Kirk... perhaps this week??....

Thurs, our office celebrated our quarterly celebration at Teatro's... a formal and elegant little place.... our little IOG group basically stuck and hung together at a table to the side.... we werent being anti-social, just decided to hang out with each other than mingle with the FA's, FAA's and the big shots.... there wasnt many of us, Playa, Annie, AC, Riza, Julian, CThom, Rita, & Ann G... Kathy E and Kathleen were there also.... yes, I behave and did not embarass anyone!!! Riza, Rita and I were basically the last ones there...... we shut it down!!..hahaha... kidding!!

Fri, we headed to Rhino to celebrate Playa's bday.... Easy and Deb joined me, Shan, Mike Ma, John, Riza, Mike Hoa, and AC to celebrate with Playa, and later on, with his friends.....

Sat, booked my flight to Mexico and bought some shorts for the trip.... after that, I met Shan at Shanks to celebrate Mike Hoa's bday with his family and friends....

Gobble Gobble!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there!!!!!... thanks again to good ol' Mark and Kim for inviting the Wong boys for thanksgiving supper on Sat.... the fud was excellent as always, as was the company...... its always nice that pple out there take care of single guys like me on occasions like this!!! Forever grateful!!! After that, Bao and I headed out to hockey... after that, Mike, Ivan, Tim, Curt and I headed to BP's for some late night munchies......

Friday, I went out for drinks with Shan and the rest of the vball team.... Shan was nice enough to drop me off at Bottoms up later on so I could watch the Canucks play with Easy and Wingnut... thanks again for the ride, Shan... you number 1!!!!!!..... favours coming your way soon, if you know what I mean!!...Yeah!!!!...

Sunday, pretty much watch football and did some chores around the old place..... Monday, the bros and I met up with the mother for sum Dim Sum action!!! After grabbing BBT, we headed to the mother's place for some fruits to take home..... prob the only time we have fruits in our household....hahahahahaahh..... than I headed home where I waited to have supper with King and his girl.... for supper, we headed out to Sushi Ichuban on Bow Trail... first time there... it was alright... sashimi was only half the size as normal.... oh well.... all and all, a good weekend!!!

Long distance relationships, Hockey season starts!!!

Hockey Season has started...... I am in no less that 5 hockey pools, 3 for money..... guess I am really in the game..... lets get it going!!! Go Oilers, down with the Flames!!!...

It was a pretty quiet past week..... not much happened... Our vball team went 1-1... As the hockey season started on Wed, I have watched a hockey game for three straight nights.... how long can I go for??..We will see... This is what happens when you are single... you have time to watch all these games...... I did have a chance to go for lunch with Cam for viet!!...

Long distance relatioships are tough.... be it friendship or intimately..... you have so many different variables working aginst you... the big one is that you are not able to interact on a regular basis with the other party... I have been on the end of both, friendship and intimately... its tough and it takes a toll... not being around the other person, you cant experience their world, and they yours.... you both cant understand what each goes through... you have less in common to talk about on your regular talks..... the main thing is, it has to be a two way street and both have to be committed to it.... most of the time, it fails..... but under certain circumstances, it can be special..... with that, I like to wish the best to AC .... she had a long term relationship going with "lobster boy".... have a feeling it was about to end, as AC was not at work on Friday, and was sad on Thurs..... my thoughts goes out to her, and I wish her the best..... with that, I like to say hello to all my long distance friends that have survived over the years when so many havent... Rick would be the first to come in mind..... hello to Mai, Pumpkin, Mariessa, Babi, and Sally...... miss ya all,esp Sally...heheheeh
