Lunch, RESP, late, one more night....

That summarizes it all..... I was informed last minute (11:10am), that Alice wanted me to go into some RESP meeting at 12:30pm. I had a feeling that I might be late for this since I had lunch plans with Princess.... suffice to say, after checking my car and going for lunch, I didnt make it back til 12:50pm..... the worst yet, I got caught by my supervisor..... during my lunch, I was informed that my supervisor was looking for me cause the actual meeting was from 12:00am to 12:30pm.... nothing I can do about that cause I was gone.... but when she came back from the meeting, she noticed I wasnt back yet, and she asked about me.... than she stated that even if the meeting was at 12:30pm, I would have missed it or been late...yikes!!!... I tried sneaking in, but to no avail..she was at my desk within minutes talking about the RESP meeting and what is to come from it.... yikes!!..caught!!!... oh well... whatever..... apparently I have to do a bunch of preparation work prior to ATB's RESP launch in January... not like that I am not busy enough and short staffed (dont forget grossly underpaid)...... all I have to say is beware of Friday nite's staff Xmas party... I tend to have a "good" time..... yowzers!!!!

ps..thxs again for lunch.... I swear me having no money was NOT intentional....hahahah.. and Cor, I saved you $40 bucks!!..remember that!!!.....hahahah

Drinks

Just wanted to give a shout out to my friend, Kay...... nice to have drinks with you again... we had a very heavy conversation.... you told me so much about what is going on with you... all I can say is none of us are perfect...we each have our faults, we each have temptation, we have our own mistakes.... hang in there.... you will be fine..... real friends dont judge, they are there for you, for each other......... I am glad I could be there for you..... isnt life funny?? things work so strangely, and we are all screwed up somehow..... did you reveal too much?? maybe, but you know my lips are sealed...... damn, its hard to keep secrets...isnt it??....hahha... good luck, and let me know if you need an ear again......

Major Snowfall... Phone call Etiquette.

Wow, the big cold front has hit..... the roads were sure like ice today.... I had a nice slide into the intersection of John Laurie and Shag. Thankfully, I was braking early and only entered the intersection a quarter of the way... this has prompt me to offer my bro a ride to church tomorrow morning.... yes, this means I have to get up early, but its better peace of mind that I drive than him.... after that, I will try to do some shopping, if I am awake enough....

Friday was my last day off before back to work next week.... I went to lunch with Cor and Char at the pasta place beside Edo (cant remember the name of it right now).... I even treated them... after that, I brought Char up to work to meet some former colleauges...despite her resistance to come up and being late, I was right to make her go visit some old friends.... she claims to be shy and all, but I knew better... she really enjoyed seeing everyone again.... we will have to lunch again soon.... after that, I just headed home and stay in til hockey since it was so cold outside....

Sat was pretty much the same... I stayed in... Wingnut was vey impatient and had to come get her luggage... understandable.... but I didnt want to go out and fight the cold and slippery roads....thanks for the food.... I did get a chance to finally meet her better half.... interesting, interesting indeed...

Life is funny.... you have some pple who you call, and when they are not around or you leave a message, they call you back right away.. some dont call back at all..... I guess it depends on the person and the situation.... generally, I believe if you want them to call back, you leave a message.... when you get a message, you should call back as soon as you can... if they dont leave a message, than generally, it is probably not an important or urgent phone call, and doesnt require immediate attention.... Now, if you call twice or more, than you should probaly call back ASAP.. otherwise, you are on the hook as the one not returning the call or staying in touch.... that is my belief.... in saying that, Esq, you didnt call back, so I guess the emphasis is on you... I do my best not to be upset that you havent call back..... but you know that I have called, and the ball is in your court....

Back from Hongcouver!!!

Yes, I am back from Vancouver.... all I have to say is I ate like a pig, lived a life of luxury, and just relaxed..... First of all, let me say that my cousin's baby, Cameron, is absolutely adorable.... just adorable!!!... she did spew on me once, but I am sure she was laughing inside...I sure enjoyed carrying you and playing with you.....Its too bad that the next time I will see her, she will probably be a year old.... too bad they dont live in the same city.... oh well, what can you do..... thanks to my cousins for all the bundles of food they stuffed me with, their hospitality and accomodations.... I stayed with Jacko, but he worked everyday, so Aim picked me up around noon and we usually went shopping before heading to her house... I had for lunch, Dim Sum at Metro Mall, Korean at Metro Mall food court, Shanghaism or something at Dynasty Garden, and PorkChop and BBQ spareribs with mushroom gravy over spaghetti at Allelujah.... supper, we had viet, Curry Beef Briskets with duck, chicken, and pork the second night at Aim's, Sushi the third night, and finally, black bean ribs and beans with beef at Aim's again.... squeeze in bubbleatea everyday, and I was stuffed and bloated every night... I am afraid to weigh myself..... yikes!!...back to exercising for me.... thanks again to Alfred and Aim and Jack..

Special thanks to those who made me carry excess weight back on my trip..... Princess with your 50lbs suitcase, and Nerissa (with Ap and Pat) for her 4 dozen bakery stuff..... all I had was one little bag, and you guys all made me bring back more....my back, my sore back!!!...hahahah... the flight was ok... little over an hour.... still hate the landing...man, there were some stiff landing.... thanks to all those who made me call long distance...aka..LH ESQ, Wingnut, transfer Girls..... Wingnut hope you enjoy Red Deer and Edmonton...remember...watch your back!!!!

Van City was constantly raining... most of the time, I missed the rain, but not the last day...it poured on me...i got 9-10 hours sleep every night, despite the noises I heard from the neighbours upstairs.... I think I was below their washroom.... plus, the place had bad pipes.... i kept waking up at night... oh well.. i got to sleep in....hehehehe

All I have to say is as much as I like hanging with my cousins and being in Vancouver, there is nothing like being at home!!!

The final countdown!!!

Countdown is on... my trip to Vancouver is just hours away...... I tried to clean up as much as I could at work, before I left for holidays.... I stayed til 7pm on Friday, doing what I can... I hope you girls in transfers can survive the week, esp Ap... good luck on conversions and internal transfers.... you will need it!!!...after that, Princess and I headed to watch the Canucks win at Bottoms up..... thanks for drinks and the meal... but was that not interesting what we saw after the game??...hahahah... remember, I only looked cause you TOLD me to look.....

I went shopping for gifts for my cousin's kid..... I also found something that I thouhgt would be cute on Alexis... I called Peg afterwards, and found out I should have gottena size 5 for her and not a 4... darn it, got to return it now and get a bigger size.... kids sure grow up so fast.... I really cant wait to see Alexis and Jarrett again.... maybe n the spring.... see ya guys soon..there were 24 skaters that showed up for hockey... stupid "submariner" had a couple of incidents again today....too abd I was on his team... i wanted to get into it with him...he is always causing incidents at hockey..... no more... I will go white everytime he is there.... see if he messes with me.......

See you Amy, Alfred, Cameron, and Jack Sunday night!!! Should be fun....

Happy Bday Lor and Jen!! OT and more OT

Just a shout out to a couple of bdays this past week..... Jen, as one of only four remaining friends from my onliine days, I just wish you all the best and a Happy Bday, this past Tues!!.... I wish you nothing but the best of things.. always remember my ears are here to listen, and dont take any cr*p.... you deserve better.... The second shout out is to Lor, who I hung out with on Wed.... thank your good friend there for our introduction.... for Kay, another good talk and you gave me a lot to think about....your so easy to talk to.. dont be so hard on yourself also.... thanks!!!....

Yes, you heard right... I worked OT twice this week... trying to get my house in order at work before my holidays..... worked 4 hrs OT on Tues and another 3.5 tonight..... I think I am pretty much caught up, thanks to Patsy for helping with my backload of stuff.. I am sure Friday will be another day, and hopefully we wont fall behind.... isnt it funny how we think we are caught up on works stuff, only to fall behind again the next day?? there is always something at work..... you can never be caught up... Guess its like that at any job... the key is not to let it control you, your life, and stress you out.... for life is too short for that...right???

Cant believe two pple got voted off in the same tribe on Survivorin one tribal council...how cool was that?? Go Ozzy or Yul !!.....

Long Weekend...so far..

Well, at least some of us have a long weekend. I am one of the lucky ones, unlike my two bros.... Sucks to be you two.... Friday was hell at work.. the work piling up more and more, so that I had to start using Laney's old desk for my stuff.... get the impression that Alice wants me to move onto her desk eventually, but I dont want it.... I will fight it!!...Well, unless I get a big raise...hahahah... we had a goodbye, drinks after work, for Laney.... out of the 18 confirmed pple, only 10 showed up...dont care if you dont show up, but hate when pple bale without letting you know, when I was the one who planned the whole thing and made reservation out of my busy schedule.... remember, Bo never forgets!!!!... Laney, myself, Cthom,Shan, Aber, Rob, Steve, Alice, Ann, Sandy, Easy E, & Corrina were all there....... we also saw Sheldon Dyck there, and he was with a friend..later on when he left, we were told that he bought drinks for the whole table, up to that point....that was so nice of him....should have drank more, as I only had two up to that point...hahahah....Alice later bought a couple of platters for the table.... Kudos!!!.... one awkward moment was when Laney's "friend" came over to our table with her co-worker to say hi to Laney.. dont know what to make of that situation.... whatever.....apparently they were there for a co-worker's last day....
After Brewsters at about 8:30pm or so, Easy, Wingnut, and I headed to the pasta place on Centre.... there we shared two pastas, and since Easy's bday was on Sat, I bought her and Wingnut two BJ's.... I believe it was Easy, first experience with a BJ, but definietley not Wingnut...she was real pro...hahahaha ... I dropped off Easy at her car at work, and drove Wingnut home and wished her a good-Night... than I headed to hockey and made it half hour late...oh well... still got to play 45 minutes, and that is better than nothing.... I was glad the doors were not locked to the arena when I arrived....

Sat, I headed to Dim Sum with King at Grand Central.... after heading to bubbleatea, I stopped by to see an old friend that I had not seen in four month or so... Miss Sunshine..... good to see you again... you looked great....thanks for the fud!!... That night, I headed to Joey Tomatoes for supper with Lee, Kim, Mark, Kim's sis, and a couple of Mark's co-workers...was still full, so I just had Dry Ribs... Sorrie i couldnt join you all for BORAT, but had to goto hockey..I am sure the movie was good... picked up King and than headed home and got ready for hockey... wow, three crazy nights out.... can we make it four??...hahah

Laney's last day!!!

The day has finally arrived. It was Laney's last day. We were expecting this day for three weeks, but it has finally come and gone. 17 of us headed to THE CRUSH REST for her good-bye lunch. It was a nice lunch, as I had my usual club sandwich. Later, as the day went on, no one from upper mgmt was going to present her with her good-bye cards. Neriss, AP, and I presented the transfer card, as Alice left early and Pat was in T.O. on vacation. However, when 3pm rolled around, I decided to take the initiative to track down the office card for her and have everyone gather around for her presentation. I think its the least a person should have when they have given loyal service to a company. I am surprised noone took the initiative, as they were so disorganized. Anyways, we got Rob to make the presentation, so everything worked out in the end. If I had not took care of it, nothing would have been done. How disappointing of mgmt to drop the ball. Once the day ended, the realization of the mass of work that needs to be done without Laney and Leslie around (and Pat on holidays) hit me. I just hope I can handle the increased stress, cause I know the workload is going to backed up big time. Its going to be hell.

We got a new girl to do our admin stuff for updating. Its going ok so far, but I worry about her since it doesnt seem to appear that this is the job that she was expecting. So I wonder about how long she will be around or what her motivation will be. I guess time will tell.

I went out with one of my closest friend's enemy today, for a few drinks. It was an interesting time, as I learned a lot of stuff, and had a great conversationwith this person. Now, if my friend finds out, I am sure there will be hell to pay. Guess will have to deal with it when the time comes. I am sure in the end, it will all work out.

Finally, best of luck to you Laney on your new career. May your path in the future lead to you to all your dreams and goals. I will be rooting for you on the sidelines. I sure enjoyed the time we worked together and hung out. Its not everyday you meet pple who have such impact on your life. Thanks for everything and best wishes!!!

Bubbleatea, Happy Birthday Lee and MOM!!!

There is a new bubbleatea place, in da house! What makes it worse is its right by the hockey rink where I play hockey. Talk about easy access. I believe its called Bubbo Tea, and I hit it twice this weekend.

Friday, we said goodbye to a couple of more co-workers. It was Leslie last week, and this week, we lost Dave and Joanna. Good-bye to both of you and good luck. I did head to Joanne's good-bye lunch on Wed at Ric's Grill. Laney and I split a Club Sandwich and soup. It was ok, but my stomach was still not feeling the best. Its ok now, so that is over with now. Laney and I headed to my mom's restaurant on Friday for lunch to wish her a Happy Birthday on Sat..... of course, a free buffet is nice also....hehehehehe........Mike and I headed to the bubbleatea place before hockey that night. Its a small, quiet place. The drinks are a little more priceier, but you save on the gas and stuff from driving downtown. I was invited to Lee's bday thingy at The Whiskey, but didnt go since it was so late and so close to hockey time. Anyways, hope you had fun Lee, and Happy Birthday gal. Hope you had fun, got drunk, and got lucky!!!...hahahah

Sat, I went to Dim Sum with Mare and Peter. Its been like years since I went out for a bite or drinks with Peter. Good to see you again. We will have to do it again soon. After Dim Sum, I went and stopped at the bubbleatea place again. Yes, that is twice in one weekend. That night, I was suppose to goto The Garage for the softball team year end windup, but got lazy, and stayed home to watch hockey before playing hockey. It was ironman, as we played 4 on 4 hockey, since only 11 showed up. Could have went to bubbleatea again after hockey, but I resisted temptation.

Sunday, I just stayed home and watch all the games. Getting ready for the big Indy-Pats game right now, and trying to cook some Soya Sauce Chicken. Hope it turns out ok. Go COLTS!!!!

Halloween and the flu bug (or something)

Yes, I have been feeling a little crappy (literally...heheh) the last few days.... it was really bad on Tues, yet, I couldnt call in sick since it was halloween..... couldnt leave my dept hanging without their criminal... you see, I was the convict, and the four girls in my dept were police woman... let me just say one thing....HELLLOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!... for those lucky enough to have seen the pics, you know what I mean.... yes, what guy would not dream of having four girls in police uniform arresting him???..for them to administer their own type of "punishment".....hmm?? honestly now, guys!!!!.. which reminds me, I will send them your way soon, Rickster!!! forgot to send them to ya.... it turned out to be a pretty good halloween at work....
Now, at night, we didnt have much chocs for the kids, as I was too sick to go out and buy some last minute... however, my bros told me only two kids stopped by... I went straight to bed after work, so I didnt pass out any candies.... what has happened to the tradition of halloween? I know it was a little colder than usual, but that shouldnt stop so many kids from going out... what is the problem?? I factor a few reasons.... I believe we lost the tradition of what halloween was, and the whole going house to house for chocs.... as different generations have come and gone lately, more kids are not going out for candy.... kids are more focus on other things... parents these days have gotten lazy and non-chalent in their attitudes.... their values for traditional things has been dissipating... they not as eager or willing to take their kids out.... also, there are other alternatives, such as taking their kids to the mall for their candies, so they and the kids dont get "cold" and stuff.... PLLZZ!!!!....the problem maybe more extreme here in Calgary as oppose to the small cities and towns... lots of pple have money in this city, and their kids have money, so they dont feel the need to go out and walk in the cold when they can just buy candy anytime they want, easily.... money is too abundant for these kids.... when i was growing up, kids cherish halloween and a chance to go out in the cold, house to house, just to get chocs since many of us couldnt afford to buy chocs on a regular basis... plus, it was tradition, and it gave all the kids something to talk about and all at school and stuff the following days....... its very sad to see, but its this attitude that has change the shape of how things are with society these days.... I guess its the changing of the times....
Back to my stomach problems...its still a little queasy and still get the sharp pains from time to time, but it is getting better.... I hope....
